Is 'Output level' saved as part of preset?
-
Coming from a traditional tube amp, I know the expected difference between the Gain, Master, and Output volumes, no problem there.
But when saving a preset, is the "Output Volume" parameter level saved as part of the preset? Some softwares have that 'overall volume' setting as one that is excluded from the parameters the preset actually saves.
What I mean is (with all other settings are kept the same) when I save a preset to hardware 'location 1' with output volume set to 9 o'clock (relative '2' level-wise)...
..and then change the output volume to 3 o'clock (louder now relative '8' level-wise) and save it to hardware 'location 2'...
..is the 'location 2' preset louder than the 'location 1' preset when switching between them?
I don't have my spark yet so I can't test this.
Bonus question: is the 'Music volume' level saved as well within the preset?

Yes the output volume is saved to the preset. If you then change the volume on the preset via the knob and don't save it, it reverts back to the original saved volume. That's how I get the same output volumes on the 4 presets by adjusting them with the output knob and saving each one when the volumes are the same.
To my knowledge, the volume levels of the music input cannot be saved but are adjusted using the volume on your ios or android or PC volume(after connecting the earphone outlet to the spark aux.) or the smallest knob on the amp.
Hope this helps. -

I just received the spark and the output volume knob position is definitely not saved with the preset, at least not on the current firmware version. If I do the process I described above, they are both at the same output level upon recall.
Also, moving the output volume knob while in a hardware preset does NOT make the preset led light flash, whereas moving any other knob does..

No offence taken because you're exactly right. I was relying on memory to answer the OP's question and my apologies to them. The "output" volume on the actual amp is that of the guitar and is not saved in the presets while the "Master Volume" on the amp is the amps volume. The volume that is saved to the preset is that on the app displaying the amp at the time... and that is how I get the volumes on the presets to be equal. My bad. Thanks for the correction.p
