      Hello:

I am recording a simple guitar track into GarageBand from the Spark USB interface to my iMac 2020. I am monitoring GarageBand playback through external monitor speakers, not the Spark amp. I am monitoring my guitar from the Spark amp speakers directly, not from the usb GarageBand playback. For some reason, when I look at the track wave, I can see that the guitar is delayed slightly after the beat of each measure. If I go to the beginning of the track and cut of the short delay, and then slide the entire track to the left, the guitar then syncs to the beat of the measure. Why is there a delay from the Spark amp to the GrageBand track when recording? I have used Fender Super Champ X2 USB and Mustang USB amps into GarageBand without any of this delay problem. This isn't a latency issue while monitoring. The actual recording is being delayed while recording. The image illustrates the delay at the beginning of the track.

      Help please:)

I am having the same problem. I suspect that it's the playback of backing tracks that is delayed while recording, so if you play to that delayed playback, your going to be off in the final recording. Seems like a software issue that can be fixed???

@griffinchilders One solution is to simply import the mp3 backing track into GarageBand and then play to that instead of getting the backing track to play through the spark amp and recording that.
