      Hello together,

currently I'm having some issues setting up BIAS FX 2 on two Macs. I'm using both devices to work on presets (desktop), record (desktop) and use for rehearsals and live gigs (mobile). Unfortunately I'm not able to get it work flawlessly on both systems as one of both applications keeps crashing right after startup just before any view appears. Apparently the application has some problems to read (or update) some data from one of the json files from my users document directory (/Documents/PositiveGrid/Bias_FX2). This is indicated by an uncaught exception.

Apparently the problem is caused by both instances accessing the same data, which are synced over iCloud Drive. On both systems iCloud Drive is enabled. I've already tried to delete the folder, as mentioned here. The only noticeable effect was that the crashing instance swapped from mobile to desktop and the other way around if I repeated the deletion. I would guess the issue would not occur if iCloud Drive is disabled, but that is not a valid alternative for me as I use iCloud Drive to sync all my other documents between the devices.

I've tried to exclude the directory /Documents/PositiveGrid from syncing with iCloud by adding a .nosync-suffix to the directory name (PositiveGrid.nosync). That causes another issue as BIAS FX does not find the required directory anymore and creates a new one... A empty .noysync-file in the PositiveGrid directory is not respected by the iCloud demon... I also tried to create an alias PositiveGrid which targets to PositiveGrid.nosync, but that also causes a crash...

Does anybody have some ideas how I could fix that issue? I just want to use BIAS FX on both devices without disable such a substantial features of my operating system.

      Chers
