Bias Amp2 problem?
-
Hello all,
I've run into a tiny snag with Bias Amp2 and I'm hoping others might've found a solution.
The problem is this, when I create an amp in Bias Amp 2, everything is quiet no noise whatsoever even when using the insane amps as the prototype, making the changes as I think fit, like para EQ, everything sounds good - then import it into Bias FX 2 and the amount of noise is extremely noticeable that I have to put a noise gate in front, but doing that the noise gate has a very noticeable effect that you can hear when it's slowly choking the notes - that's the best way to describe it. It's quite disconcerting, which has the added effect of chopping into notes with delay and reverb, even when playing slowly making it quite unpleasant to listen to and makes your playing sound amateurish, even worse when playing fast! The other thing that happens is the amp I designed in Amp2, Tolex, knobs and whatnot does not appear in Bias FX2 - it makes it appear however the way "it" wants it to look. I also tried using the noise gate in Bias Amp2 at a number of different settings to quiet the amp in Bias FX2 and nothing happened.
As you might've figured not a fan of the noise-gates in Bias FX2 and changing the settings does nothing, nothing at all, except using the Noise Reduction versus mute option, but, using the NR mode, there is that wonderful noise again from the Amp2. The NR works a lot better without cutting into the delay and reverb, but, doesn't stop that noise, again, changing the setting does nothing at all!
Has anyone had this happen to them and what are your workarounds?
Thankyou and Regards,
Vaughan. -

Par for the course.
