Frustrated with Bias FX2 not seeing my Midi Commander!

I am using BiasFX2 on an 2011 iMac running OS Sierra with 16gb of ram. I have had very little success getting BiasFX to see the Midi Commander by Mellow Audio. I have it running into one of the 4 usb ports in the back of my computer. I start up BiasFX and then I turn on the midi commander while pressing the #2 foot switch. The readout says BIFX, but when I go to my audio settings in BiasFX I don't see the Active Midi Input optionTSMIDI2.0. As a matter of fact there is nothing there at all. (see attached photos for clarification). Once in great awhile it will pop up to my surprise but only after rebooting. This is again not a fix because it only works once in a while. If I get it to work it stays on but if I plug anything else into another USB port like a thumb drive or something then the next time I open BiasFX it doesn't find the midi again and I start the whole process over. The few times I was able to use the midi foot switch it was terrific! Holds my programs and all that good stuff.
This is what I am supposed to see
This is what I see.
Can anyone shed light on this for me? I can't find anyone else online having this issue.

@jeko1967 I have this same issue. The program sees the controller, but will not "Learn" of function with the MIDI commander at all. I even tested the MIDI commander independent of BIAS FX Elite 2, it works great.

@jeko1967 I have started having the same issue. The Midi Commander is seen by Bias FX2 Elite, but does not recognize any commands from the device. It worked fine until the last Windows 10 updates, and the device is recognized and works with AmpliTube 5 and Guitar Rig 6. I have tried several things, but nothing works and I go to other programs now if switching is required. I have the IKMULTIMEDIA Axe I/O as an interface and I will be trying the Midi function on it to run pedals in Bias FX 2. Strange part is, Midi Commander worked before and I was using it for switching scenes with presets I could also switch through Midi Commander.
