Save as new? Really?
-
Ok so here's the scenario: I don't want to change any of the four presets I've stored on the amp, but I have a fifth one I've spent a lot of time creating and I don't want to lose it. I would think it possible to save it to the app one way or another, right? Seems logical, even essential, right?
So on the Positive Grid/Help Center/Spark/Usage/Preset Management page it says I can do a "Save as new" to save it "locally" (i.e "in the app"). Ok, that sounds like what I'm looking for. So I choose that option, I'm prompted to give the new preset a name and choose one of six predetermined categories -- pop, blues, etc. The category thing makes no sense to me but ok, I do that, tap Save and ... I have no idea where it's saved to, can't find it anywhere, searches on various screens turn up nothing.
What am I missing?!?

@thermality Hopefully you remembered which category you chose to save to. On page 9 of the manual, you will see “E” at the top of the page, this is your current preset name as the app starts up (Rainbow Bridge in the manual). Click that and you will then see a list across the top of those categories (Pop, Blues, Rock, etc). Click the category you saved it to, then scroll thru any presets in that category and you should see your new one. Click it and it will load to the app and amp.

Thank you very much for your response. Now that I know it makes perfect sense, but I failed to make the connection. I guess I didn't scroll enough.
Can you tell me if the amp's four presets can be accessed in the app?

@thermality I’m pretty sure, yes, using similar method as above. When I turn on Amp then connect App, the current amp preset is on the app screen. If I select another preset button in the amp, then the app also changes to that preset. If I select a saved preset on the app from the “Rock” category, then the app updates to that. If I then select a preset button on the Amp, then the App changes to that on. I’m not near my Spark so I can’t check to give you a definitive answer.

Thanks very much for the reply, very helpful. I had overlooked the center preset button, which solves several mysteries and makes the app way more useful. It's getting more fun all the time. Thanks again.
