American Deluxe Strat with N3 pickups -- the amp has plenty of volume when using gain settings on the amp and/or app, but volume drops substantially when using a clean tone, especially on treble strings. I tried using the app's boost pedal with and without gain, didn't change volume much. I have an old beater guitar with humbuckers, it's a bit louder on a clean signal but still much lower than a gain signal. I guess I need to use an external boost pedal when I want to play clean? Or maybe someone has another solution?

The clean amps are very quiet.
I add the red compressor and crank it up in the area of 3 o'clock. This helps but also changes the sound a bit.

I know what you mean, most pedals do color the tone even when gain etc is reduced. I'm just wanting pure decibel boost. The Spark Boost pedal helps, just not enough for passive single coils with a clean signal. Pretty easy to get lost in the mix when playing with a jam track.
