I try to search the tone cloud by most popular. I save the check mark and exit to begin my search. When I go back into settings it defaults back to Alphabetically.

@graham26th You should use the "Contact Support" link at the top of this page to see what the developers have to say about that. It may need to be addressed in a future update to the app.
