AMP/FX/AMP 2 in Reaper: low volume until track is rendered
-
On Reaper start and opening of my (last) project, and after changing patches within BIAS AMP 1 and 2 and FX, the output volume is lower, and it sounds less gainy even with volume matched. In the case of AMP 2, the sound is more like AMP 1. When I render the track, it gets louder and fuller. With AMP 2, the cab room ambience is pronounced. Starting a blank project, and putting in any one of them results in the same behavior.
Anyone experiencing this?

@tannhauser I recognised a significant lower input signal (even with the fader maxed to the right) which should lead to a lower input-volume. But I have no idea why this behavior should change on rendering a track?

Here's an example, recorded from the Stereo Mix into Audacity. The difference in volume was 2.3db, -12 pre-renderd in Reaper, versus -9.7 after. 'Amplifying', the difference in apparent volume was 1db, amplifying the pre-renderd bit by 11db. Tell me what you think of those things and tones of each.

can you send the RPP for that test?
