New Bias amp 2 update
-
Cant access the 100 presets in the new Bias amp 2 update, anyone else having the same problem?
-
@christian-lindqvist Yea same here:(
-
They released the 100 presets to the Tone Cloud, rather than the app itself, so you'll need to look there if you haven't already.
-
I did check tonecloud and they did not exist there but popped up after 20-30 min.

How can one identify those? There must be a part of the name or something?
-
@sascha-ballweg If I'm understanding you correctly, I'm assuming you need help finding them?
If so, in BA2 click on the cloud, then click "featured" on the top tabs, then you click on the "100 New Amp Match Presets" and there you'll find them neatly organized in groups. They did a good job keeping them so organized I might add ;)
-
@sascha-ballweg when you go to the tonecloud the first thing you see right now should literally be a huge banner image with "100 Presets!" or whatever on it. it leads to a page that filters them all by amp type.

@ash-wolford If you're on a Mac, check out AmpL4 on the Mac App Store. $20 amp manager that adds the real names and pics of the amps. plus like 300 other amps that DO NOT come w/BIAS. Best $20 I've ever spent.
-
@sascha-ballweg Like I said below, if you're on a Mac, check out AmpL4 on the App Store. $20. Totally worth it. I swear by it.

AFAIK it is not even compatible with Amp 2 (I may remember a Facebook post from the developer)?
-
@sascha-ballweg I'm sorry, but what is AFAIK? And what exactly is your question? Tnx!
-
@mark-meyers
afaik = "as far as I know" and his question is easily answered by looking, yes it is compatible with BA2 just go look at it in the app store. -
@tafkad Ah! I see. Thanks. Yes, AmpL4 is compatible with BA 2. I know this because I was the one who contacted the developer and asked about the update. He originally had no intention of updating it (at least right away) until I emailed him and demanded(lol) an update. I told him I would not upgrade to BA 2 w/o it, lol. So, it should be fine now. A Windows version is in the works too.
-
@christian-lindqvist was the same for me...
-
@tafkad Lol!
-
@mark-meyers That does look interesting, are the amp graphic pictures of high quality? When imported do they look like they actually belong? I would be afraid of the graphics looking low resolution compared to what they're replacing...I'm curious
-
@anthony-newcomb Oh hell no! They're actual images from Google! Photos, not icons. You used to have to look them up yourself (which is great if you want a specific pic of a specific model), but apparently, the new update has an auto-lookup that does it for you. More importantly, it gives you the real names of the amps(and logos!) like ex. RB-101 stands Rich(?)Bogner and so on and so forth.. It's all drag and drop, easy breezy. Best $20 I ever spent. I have over 321 amps now, 40 Marshalls alone.
-
(granted I haven't updated all the pics, but you get the idea..and like I said, the latest version is supposed to do it for you. So I heard..)
-
@mark-meyers You now have 321 amps? My understanding is that it replaces icons but you make it sound like it installs amps? I'm assuming you mean to say that you already (had) amp matches of 321 amps and now have 321 real icon pics of them that you imported using that app..?
