So.. if I don't have Spotify or Apple music, how does one find a song for analysis?

Do you use other music streaming apps? I guess you can find the music you want from Tidal, Deezer, or Amazon Music. If you do not want to download Spotify to your phone, you can open it on your computer and use the free trial and a best Spotify recorder to convert to MP3. I use Tunelf Spotify music converter windows

I don't know about Apple Music, but Spotify actually streams tracks from YouTube, so you can skip Spotify and source YouTube directly. Anywhere in the app that you see a search tool you can search on YouTube, just start the search text with "YouTube" followed by any other parameters you choose. Ex: "YouTube backing tracks", or "YouTube [name of song]", etc. You can also do a voice search anywhere you see a microphone icon.

Thing is though, you can't batch import a whole playlist or multiple songs via a YouTube search, just one song at a time. You can through Spark's Spotify connection. Fyi, the free version of the Spotify app works just fine for this purpose if you install the app and create an account.
