No sound playing music backing tracks
-
Hi,
New owner and I'm unable to hear sound from the backing tracks or music videos from the app, I can hear my guitar and can select new amps and effects no problems but hear nothing when playing music or do the smart jam. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?
Thanks for any advice
Mike

@samueleonline Thanks for the reply but unfortunately the Bluetooth connection isn't a problem, I can connect and search for tones and music but when play backing tracks I can't here the music though I can still hear my guitar.

there are two connections to make, look again
one in reception and one for playback -
@samueleonline Sorry still no luck, I went back and have paired both Spark 40 Audio and Spark 40 BLE but I still get no sound from the backing tracks, is there a volume control on the playback?

@mike-fisher26
the volume control for playback is in the amp next to the headphone output marked 'music volume' -
@samueleonline Is the volume on your phone turned all the way up?

@chkatz
not necessarily, but certainly not low -
Do you have have the USB cable connected to a computer or do you have anything plugged into the Aux-In jack? Note that either of these will disable the bluetooth audio. According to the info sheet that came with the amp, plugging anything into the Aux-In jack will disable audio in both bluetooth and USB. It doesn't say in the info sheet, but I discovered on my own that connecting the USB to a computer will also disable bluetooth audio (and maybe the Aux-In, but I didn't test that). This may also be newer behavior in the latest firmware, but not sure.
A person in another thread had a similar issue, and I asked the same question, and it did turn out to be the USB's being plugged-in:
https://forum.positivegrid.com/topic/4479/spark-bluetooth-audio-woes-ios-fire-hd-8So, when using bluetooth audio, make sure nothing is plugged into the USB port or the Aux-in port, and then see if it works.

Any solution?
I just received mine and I have no playback of the guitar when playing the recording back. Only has and drums are (low) noticeable

I had the same problem but like some one told in another answer, was because i had connected the usb in the laptop (spark was like audiodevice output). Just unpluged the usb cable from the laptop and all worked fine.
