Wet/Dry, order of effects
-
I noticed that the order of the effects are always Gate, Compressor, Drive, Amp, Mod, Delay and Reverb? Is there any way to move the order of the effects or have two mods (eg. chorus and flanger)?
I also have a Line 6 Amplfi and one thing that I liked about the app (despite connection issues) is that it differentiates between wet and dry effects and treats delays, mods , drives as a pedal that can be switched. For example, if I don't need a delay in my chain, I can use that slot for an additional mod instead.
Hopefully, the Spark can do that in the future if it can't be done currently.

no, it's not possible for now, but that would be a good thing

@bk be sure to submit a feature request through the Contact Support link at the top of this page.

@dhbailey Hopefully, this is not limited by the hardware and can be fixed with either a firmware update or an app update.

@bk I've wondered about whether the order of effects/amps is a matter of hardware or software. My gut tells me it's hardware based, since the app would need to be much larger to hold all the data necessary for the various effects and amp models if they were only in software. Now whether that hardware chain is fixed or can be changed through software the way remains to be seen. Once this initial wave of amp purchases has passed and the Spark Amp starts showing up in stores I think that we will see more development of the app. And to continue a revenue stream once the marketplace is saturated with the Spark Amps I think that PG will offer additional amps/effects packages like I understand are available with the BiasFX software. And additional drummers and other features (like a metronome which isn't locked into 4/4, smartjams which aren't locked into 4/4). Some will be free updates to the app, others will cost money. That's just my feelings, though, based on no concrete knowledge at all.
