PreSonus Headphones?
-
Has anyone received the Presonus HD-9 headphones as a separate package recently, past week or two?
I'm a late March order and got the amp last week in Colorado without the Headphones. My playing drives my wife crazy. -
I emailed customer service and asked. I’m in the same order window as you and also received my amp last week. I was told that there was some sort of sourcing issues and to wait a few weeks for a shipping update.
I’m in the same boat as you, driving my wife & kids crazy

wouldn't it have been great if they were bluetooth headphones?
-
@crystalpit They would have been great as bluetooth headphones but then you wouldn't be able to use them with the Spark amp because it doesn't have a bluetooth transmitter for audio output -- just for data communication with the devices running the Spark Amp App. The bluetooth audio aspect of the Spark Amp is a receiver only.
-
@dhbailey wouldn't it have been great if the spark had a Bluetooth transmitter as well.
Would it really have cost them more than $5 to have included it in manufacturing? -
@crystalpit It's amazing what they didn't include which they could have included easily. But it is what it is so we have to deal with it -- you can buy inexpensive rechargeable bluetooth transmitters to plug into the headphone jack so that you could use bluetooth headphones if you wish.

for those of you with bluetooth devices like Bluetooth headphones, speakers etc ,
I tried different scenarios with a Bluetooth receiver/transmitter I got off eBay for under $10.
It's ok for receiving only, like into the aux etc .
Transmitting, like headphone out, has a split second delay, so it's unusable.
whether there's more expensive bluetooth transmitters out there, that might work, I'm not sure.
any extra info would be appreciated. -
@crystalpit I’ve heard that bt headphones aren’t very good for an amp for that exact reason, signal delay. Would like to hear anyone else’s thoughts.

Still no Headphones. One would think that they had more than enough time to procure enough headphones to ship with the amp. I guess that logic is skewed. Can buy them on Amazon and several online retailers currently.
-
@scott_bryant It's not a matter only of PG procuring enough headphones -- they can order as many as they like, but the headphone manufacturer has to be able/willing to ship them. It may be that the headphone manufacturer is out of stock because they oversold to Amazon and other online retailers because they can make more money that way. The deal made with PG originally may have been priced fairly low figuring a small number of units to be sold. But when the Spark sales went through the roof the headphone manufacturer may have regretted their original pricing. These issues are always more complex than just saying the PG should have ordered more headphones. They may have ordered more than enough but the supply isn't always perfect and timely.
