So it's been a few years now and Androids are excelling in nearly everything that Apple does, can we expect an app for us any time soon? :)

@bradley-smee I hate to say that but I won't hold my breath, because Android features are not stable on every brand and there are known bugs especially for audio usage.

Sonoma Wire Works (makers of the MOST excellent StudioJack Mini and GuitarJack Stage interfaces) busted their asses to create a low latency system for android. The powers that be need to accept it. Until that (or another low latency solution happens) android is dead in the water for this

I just want at least a controller for the head/rack unit on android, surely that would work fine!

First you need to get Samsung and Google to not forget the android community. They are the ones dropping the ball big time here. Actions like these can have major boosts or impediments to momentum as a whole. It takes a lot of people at many different levels, to create an environment where the tools and knowledge are readily available for experimentation and progress. Google and Samsung's unwillingness to even adress the latency issue means that tons and tons, most, if not nearly all, of the available resources and desires of the different communities needed here can't even get off the ground, hence they'll go work on something else.

@pipelineaudio the experiments on that page are done via the headphone jack, amplitube does it via the USB port on the phone, surely PG can do that too

Have you seen any RTL numbers for USB on Android?

@pipelineaudio I've not, but plenty of people seem to be using amplitube without issue on Android, so I'm skeptical as to whether the latency would be significant enough to be an issue

I have two different interfaces with android drivers over usb, I’ll see if it can run some numbers today.

I was under the impression that it was still over 25 ms, but if not then yeah! I’ve to go android PG

@bgucrossroads I'd suggest you to go buying an iPad to control the MINI Amp.

@felix I hope it's in the making and will launch sometime soon!! It'll be a killer device if it supports Android and also be able to save Bias FX into the presets \m/ Please make that happen, Positive Grid!
