Pre-order numbers

So, even though I've read loads of negatives about the "pre orders" I still went against my judgement and ordered. I read the statement from the CEO, how they will do better etc. But....the number of preorders shown keeps changing - indicating there is anywhere between 40 and 90 left. Refresh the page, another 10 are added, refresh again, it all changes. I'm expecting this is a marketing tactic, create a fear of missing out, but given the fractured nature of customers with PG, why not remove that figure if it is not true? I don't know what you'd call it, but I'd call it a lie.

I ordered mid-May, 210###, received end-July. I'm in Canada. YMMV.
PG is getting a lot of hate for supply chain during covid. Frankly, the whole supply chain is wack-a-doo right now and normal supply chaims aren't dealing with a NAMM darling. I think PG is doing the best they can, global pandemic considered.
Play guitar, watch your order status. It'll come and IMHO it'll be worth the wait.

PS - I wouldn't update the firmware for a bit. Too many bricks being reported. I'll keep mine stock until we hear more official guidance.

@gdoc seriously? firmware update is bricking amps?????
-
@n3g4tiv_1 I've seen a couple of complaints about that. But not very many, while many others are saying how the firmware update has helped with a couple of problems.

@gdoc thanks for the heads up. I don't fully understand the complexities of an international supply chain, but definitely have sympathy for those affected. My post really was about the arbitrary "pre-order" numbers flip flopping about. I don't believe they are correct or genuine, and as such they should be removed as it opens PG to more criticism. I've had plenty of emails from them, and responses to support tickets, so hopefully all working out for them now. I just don't think they should be using those pre-order volumes though. First world problems, eh?
Stay safe all, waiting patiently for mine as I already have 2 more amps than I need, and none of them have managed to make me play any better 😄😋 -
Hi. On July 16 you sent me an email indicating that my Spark amp was in the hands of the local distributor (mrw etc ...) and that it would be sent before July 31. Last week I sent you two emails and you haven't answered me. Now in the track order area it indicates: Aug 12 - Aug 20. I do not agree with these errors on your part. Since I paid for the product on February 18. I am disappointed and angry with you. The normal thing would be to send it to me as soon as possible since it is your mistake.
