My Spark worked fine when initially received, but after firmware update it is no longer working. I have tried factory reset, did not work. I tried powering on and off, also did not work. I tried rerunning firmware update, the program says it is updating and then indicates firmware is up to date. All I get when I power on is flashing tap and preset leds, no output. I have notified support but have been waiting for days for a remedy to fix this. Any ideas?

Weird... Are you sure it actually updated the firmware? DId you check via the Spark App, or it's just the updater saying it did its job?
This firmware thing is so obviously wrong. Some, like me, can't update. Others, like you, update but then the amp doesn't work anymore. And others experienced new issues after updating, as per at least one video on YouTube (and I suppose more...).
My amp has an old firmware (1.0.2.253) and some issues, one of which is that I can't update the firmware. Many are writing they had difficulties, but EVENTUALLY they could. Honestly, after reading posts like yours, I sometimes think I shouldn't update the firmware until EVERYONE has done it without problems... It could take long though.

@drbaroni The firmware tool says it has latest .37 firmware. App won't connect to amp anymore via bluetooth, although it worked fine before the firmware update, so I can't tell there if it did in fact update. Yes, very frustrating. It worked fine before the update and enjoyed trying it out for about 1/2 an hour. Hopefully I will have an answer from support someday.

@eahenn This thing makes me mad. Especially from a software-based Company. :-(
These things SHOULD be thoroughly tested BEFORE they're distributed.
And there's something deeply wrong in the fact that it's not that everyone experiences the SAME bugs... There seem to be LOTS of different bugs or, at least, different manifestations of the bugs that there are.
              That's not good, IMHO.

It is obviously a new product that is quite innovative. I was able to try it out for a bit before the firmware update and it really is a lot of fun to practice with. I'm sure PG will work out their issues and get this resolved, their CEO seems to be aware there are some issues and is working thru them. I look forward to when I can practice with it again.

@eahenn So PGhas acknowledged the issue and is planning to send a replacement amp, still waiting on a tracking number for the replacement. @Mike can you help run this down?

Guys, for reference sake and the record... could one of you please type out the full current firmware version. Much appreciated. I checked mine and it said firmware was up to date as did @drbaroni, but have been unable so far to verify exactly what it is because my iPad crashed and I'm in the process restoring. Thank you, Keoki

Just to clarify further, the amp was received with 1.1.3.18 firmware version and worked fine until after I updated the firmware.

                            Hi Keoki,
as others have stated above, the current firmware version, i.e. the latest firmware version available. is 1.2.3.37 , and I could eventually update the firmware on my amp to that version, with a little help from my friends ;-) . My amp came with v 1.0.2.253 installed.
                            Hope that helps.

I uploaded to the latest firmware this week and now the amp won't make any sound from the input jack.

I had the same issue. I connected, checked/updated firmware. It showed correct firmware and unplugged. No sound out of the amp...power cycle..unplugged...everything. nada.

Went through the update process again and this time I hit the "EJECT" on the updater software. Sound came back and it worked. Not sure if it's related, but that was my experience.

@eahenn Had the same issue. on windows 10. I wound up hooking the sparky up to a different usb port on the pc. Thant forces windows to reload the drivers for what it thinks is a new device. Took maybe 4 seconds for the update to finish AND GET MY AMP BACK AFTER RERUNNING THE UPDATER

Hi all So I had the same issue everyone else was having. I did all the steps (aside from the Asio thing, as I already have an ASIO driver installed for my M-Audio setup. Not the same thing.). Running a Win 7 pc. The update went fine, updater utility said the amp was up to date, and the app was then updated. Then, no sound.

I then ran the whole process again (this time using the AISO driver thing) on a Win 10 laptop. Went through the process again, and this time it worked. Sound is back, and all seems right again. So maybe that's the key. Use a different PC, especially if you're running Win 7 like us old people.

                                      Good luck!

Unfortunately I'm experiencing the same issue. my Spark 40 is new out of the box one hour. After following the prompt to update the firmware the amp is now inoperable. The tap button LED and all 4 preset LED's are stuck in a continuous flashing loop. Amp will not respond to factory reset while stuck in this loop. I've uninstalled/re-installed the firmware & software (Windows 10) many times - no luck, amp is completely non-functional.
I'm a little upset and very frustrated having owned the amp for less than an hour. I've sent a request into support - hoping for a quick reply & resolution. I'll defiantly be very of performing future firmware updates. Hope to find a solution - will share with all, hopefully help someone avoid the situation I'm in. Wish me luck - Jam on brothers and sisters!

Any luck on this? I just tried to update firmware on my new MacBook Pro. Does not work anymore. Just flashing Tap and Channel buttons. Flashing in Unison. Amp will not function and I cannot connect any bluetooth device to it.
