I received the PG Spark Amp today, very excited. Connecting the app for choosing tones/effects works OK (sometimes takes a few goes to connect) but it is impossible to connect any device for audio. Put simply the Spark 40 Audio option doesn’t appear on any device that can connect via Bluetooth.

      I have tried;

      • turning the amp on and off
      • stopping and starting the app
      • connecting on a device without the app
      • updating the amp to the latest version of firmware

Nothing enables me to connect for audio. I can probably use an aux cable for now but that’s really not the experience I was hoping for.

Any suggestions to help resolve are gratefully received, after a 4 month wait I really don’t want to have to return the amp... 😟

@paul-4 Do you have the USB cable connected to your computer at the same time?

Disconnect the USB cable and you will have audio options for the Spark again since it had happened to me and I discovered disconnecting the USB cable fixed the issue :-)

@playitloud I believe also that if you connect the Aux-input to a device with a cable it will also disable the BlueTooth playback.

            Hello,
I have connected (2 connections) my spark amp only via bluetooth.

            1. connected my windows Laptop win10 (where I have my backing tracks) via BT (Spark 40 Audio)
            2. connected my iPhone with spark app via BT (Spark 40 LE) to be connected to ToneCloud and to manipulate the presets.
no need for USB cable or audio jack.
              hope this helps,
              Peter

What is the Bluetooth LED on the back of the amp doing? According to the manual:

              (K) Bluetooth Status Indicator
              • Indicates the status of your Bluetooth audio connection:
              • Connected (blue light)
              • Waiting to connect (flashes)
              • Disabled (LED off)

You might need to reset the Bluetooth connection -

              • To reset pairing information, turn on Spark Amp while holding down preset button 4 for 3 seconds.
Remove Spark Amp from recognized devices in Bluetooth settings before pairing again.

@paul-4 I did find today that the audio from my iPhone was not playing through the Spark amp again (it was not the USB cable being connected this time).

I remembered at that moment that I had to do a different fix another time.

Check the Bluetooth connection on your cellphone.

You should have "2" things for your Spark amp showing up.

                    1. Spark amp

                    2. Spark 40 audio

The Spark audio was missing so I did a refresh of Bluetooth devices and it showed up and connected.

The audio was back again :-)

If this doesn't fix it then uninstall the Spark amp app and re-install it.

I have a similar problem. Everthing works fine through my iphone, but that isn't very convenient for using. Through my ipad I can only get the app working, but songs and backup tracks won't play through the Spark amp. I understand it is a BT issue of some sort.

but are you sure that each the two BT connections are configured in the ipad, both in input and output?

@tim-mcdowellbc Make sure to change the settings on your iPhone in order to get the audio through your iPad. In the bluetooth settings on the iPhone find the Spark 40 audio listing and tap the little i to the right of it and then select Forget This Device. That will prevent your Spark from pairing automatically with your iphone, which is what's preventing the Spark from pairing with the iPad.
