Positive Grid tracking vs Fedex
-
@larry-raymond-miller The shipping weirdness is something I've never seen before. It's almost amusing. Usually tracking is quite impressive.
I'm curious about the FedEx role in the less than sterling logistics. -
@rexlarsenphoto I've had a number of FedEx shipments from various merchants which have started with tracking numbers and clear delivery dates, only to have that change to "delivery date pending" and finally getting the items up to a week or more after the original delivery date. My guess is that the blame lies with both companies -- PG for not having a better mechanism in place to keep track of individual orders but also FedEx who were probably so excited to get the contract from PG but failed to realize that its distribution centers weren't equipped to handle the huge numbers of Spark Amps that are arriving at the same time.
-
PG says mine picked up on the 14th and says Fedex will ship between the 23rd and 31st???? That's absurd. Fedex doesn't warehouse items for 10 days to two weeks before they sort and ship them and once picked up they are scanned into their system. Fedex says not picked and will give delivery once the shipper delivers to them.

This is nothing for Fedex. Ever been to one of their sortation centers? I used to sell the belts they run on to them. Once they take delivery it is an automated scan and they track every inch of the way. They don't store items for days before they scan them and enter them into the system.

Delivered July 17, 2020 in Northern California via FedEx.
Ordered Mar 27, 2020. 165###My order must have been part of the group shipped out of order.
PG: "We did make an operational mistake and shipped a few hundred units out of order. We’ve fixed that and it won’t happen again."

@stinger0625 I do like the PG response.
-
They didn't "fix" anything especially the bad taste in the mouths of us who got delayed and still waiting to receive. When they discovered it we were still at the back of the list and not even an upgrade to our shipments.
-
@stinger0625 exactly.
-
@mandmshrader They told me July too and I got the tracking and its at city of industry ca 40 miles from me, July 1 . PG is blaming Fedex and corona virus and thats a lie. Fedex said PG has not called them to Pickup the amp. Most likely cause its not really there. PG will not answer me. Sad that they have to blame Fedex.
-
@dhbailey Fedex reported to me PG has not called Fedex to pickup at local Distributors . So, its not in the hands of fedex its all PG.
-
@fddustin that is probably why their shipping statement says they will be shipping all orders between 7/23 and 7/31. they must have a major shipping screw up in house.
141xxx and not even shipped yet.
