literally just opened my spark today. Plugged it in, turned it on, and jammed for about 45 minutes with no issue.

Came back a few hours later, flipped it on. And there was this horrible radio like static. Turned it off then back on again, and now the input isn't working at all. I've tried 10 different guitars, and over 15 different cables. I can still get the amo to play things as a Bluetooth speaker, but as far as the input goes, I get nothing.

I've tried a firmware update, factory reset, just about everything I can think of, to no avail.

This is beyond frustrating. Anyone else have anything similar happen, or any ideas?

@nickimholte WOW!!! If I wait 6 months to receive my amp and endure countless lies from the company and it breaks after 45 minutes, I won't be as kind as you have in your post. :( Hope you get it sorted out sooner rather than later as I can't even imagine trying to get tech support or any type of support from Positive Greed.

Also should add that its not accidently muted or in tuning mode or anything. When the tuner is active, it still won't recognize any input.

@nickimholte I trust you opened a ticket with Positive Grid. Let us know how long it takes for them to answer. This is different than our complaints about shipping. I want to know how they respond.

@eldredjames opened one last night. I'll update this if/when I hear back. Super unhappy.

@eldredjames They responded to my ticket in a little over a day. We'll see how the replacement process goes.

This literally just happened to me today. What did they say and did they send a replacement?

My amp did this after an hour of use? Did they fix it or ship you a new one?

Mine stopped too, and then I remembered I had plugged in the USB cable while the Spark was off (I was straightening up the cables). When I unplugged the USB cable my audio came back!

You got 45 minutes more than me. My input was not functional out of the box.

@nickimholte I had the exact problem, I was playing without issue like for an hour with headphone, then the next day, I turn on the spark, I unplug the headphone, I start playing, I had no sound, totally mute, the Bluetooth, the USB was working, I had sound from the phone and the PC, but no input.

I contacted support and I had a replacement unit, it was pretty fast, the pick up old unit the same week and the next week I had the new unit. (SPAIN)

Same happened to me after 11 months of occasional use :(
                                I just logged a ticket.
                                Any luck with resolution?

I got my Spark almost exactly a year ago. I'm an occasional user. Generally my guitar is plugged into my DAW, but if I want to practice or test a guitar then I tend to use the Spark.

I know this because Facebook reminded me that I got it just over a year ago. That means it's out of warranty, I believe. I don't recall buying an extended warranty. So I guess I'm screwed as far as a replacement is concerned.

The last time I used the Spark was last weekend to try out the guitar that I'd just bought.

Today I got the latest firmware. This bricked the Spark. There was no crackling, nothing from the speaker when I plugged in, no guitar sound. I tried different cables and different guitars and got no joy.

I tried a factory reset on the Spark and that did no good either.

The app finds the Spark and connects, but when I play music it only plays on my phone and not on the Spark.

Has anyone else had this issue after getting the latest firmware?

@arlo-barlow the same thing happened to me. I just updated the firmware and now the input does not work. Were you able to figure out the problem?

@michael-watson I had to do everything all over again. Reinstalled the ASIO drivers and updated the firmware, making sure to click on the "Eject" button after. Now my Spark is working fine again. What a relief!
