Last Chance Received yet?

@chkatz Don't get too excited. Someone with a 1578XX received their amp today!!! While people in the 130XXX still haven't received theirs.. or a tracking number or any update with legitimate information.
This despite Positive Greed's REPEATED claim that they are shipping in the order received. LIARS!!
Plus...Positive Greed's "customer service" is IGNORING their paying customer's support tickets.
-
Several of you got yours already who are after my #1313##. I am both disgusted and hopeful. Strange mix of feelings. I WANT MY SPARK!!!!
i seem to be losing it...

Order 124xxx, placed Jan 3, received a couple of days ago.
It showed "final distribution" on June 5 and still shows as that status. I never got a tracking number for FedEx when it shipped.Very happy with it so far.
-
1358** and still haven’t got mine.
-
@mommekrahn It appears that shipping destination is a factor on when the Spark is received, not just the order number.
It's concerning that some are arriving without tracking information. It's possible your box could arrive and be stolen and you'd never know it. -
@rexlarsenphoto Yup. This is a TOTAL cluster****. And STILL no response from Positive Greed except for canned letters. NO customer support available at all despite receipts of over $15 million from unsuspecting customers
-
I'm a #141*** number from early Feb-20 in the UK. My order has just updated to show shipped with a tracking number. Any average time for receipt from UK buyers? Hopefully within a couple of weeks.

People......chill out. I understand it's fustrating to be waiting months for a product in a time when we are used to same, next day, and 2 day deliveries. You have to remember that this is a new product that was pre-ordered, not one that they had sitting on the shelf ready to go and they were pretty clear about that.
Sure their communication could have been better but that is the case with many organizations and I am sure they got overwhelmed with the extreme amount of orders that came in. I am sure the Covid put a huge backlog in the production times which affected all of us but no one could have predicted that.
I would rather they do not rush the production of the units to ensure quality control rather than getting it a little faster. Imagine if the construction of the units was rushed and a lot of people received defective units......that would be catastrophic for their business. I have seen many of the YouTube videos on the Spark and it looks really cool and should be worth the wait.
As far as them continuing to sell their products without having inventory to ship.....as long as people are willing to purchase the units knowing this I see nothing wrong. It's the business model they chose and fortunately for them the demand is well outstripping the supply.
Many people on this forum and others are complaining about it but in reality put yourself in their shoes....wouldn't you choose this business model as well? Before some of you answer "NO" think about the "complete" product. It isn't just the amp, it's the software as well. Programming time costs money, debugging costs money, adding features costs money, improving the software costs money.
This constant revenue stream enables them to make these constant updates for a better long term quality experience. Believe me....you do not want an amp like this where the product ceases to see supported with new software updates and enhancements because then it would just be a plain run of the mill amp. I for one am glad that the features are being enhanced even before I receive the Spark which is a good sign that product support will be good and long term.
With the type of demand they are experiencing they could easily raise the price and still sell a ton of units. I know it is difficult to wait months and months for a product you paid for and really want......especially in this era of "I want it now" but try to be patient.....I am sure it will be worth it in the end.

I was fine with the delay until I started seeing last chance orders are being delivered before my players special order.

I’m pretty sure they loaded the shipping container with the early orders first.....and now they have come out “backwards”...

Order 14xxx. Last Chance Special.
Ordered February 12, 2020.

No updates. No shipping number. Getting frustrated. -
They shipping via pack mule?

I just noticed some language in the shipping update for the Spark. Check it out:
"As we continue to catch up on order fulfillment, remaining Power Supporter customers in Australia and Southeast Asia should begin receiving their Sparks starting in mid-June, and we expect Last Chance Special customers should now begin receiving their Sparks starting in late June."
Said another way - it isn't a guarantee that you receive your order by late June. Only that Last Chance Specials start receiving orders by the end of June. Technically, people in that category are receiving their orders and it is late June. They didn't say how long it would take to fulfill all of those orders.
Earlier in the post it said that "thousands" of Sparks were shipping in June. They didn't say tens-of-thousands, however. I am order 139XXX and I have not received mine yet. Assuming they will only start shipping Last Chance Specials at the very end of June. I could still be at least a month out from receiving mine.
If you ordered a Spark and your order is 149XXX or 159XXX (or higher), you are still likely months away from receiving your order.
I think if I just ordered a Spark and happened upon this forum, I would cancel my order. There seem to be some good hardware out there with relatively equivalent features (especially if you connect them to a number of apps that act as virtual effects racks) that you don't have to wait months to receive.
Footnote: Imagine support if you get your Spark and some defect slips through the production. I cannot even begin to imagine how long it would take to fix or replace the unit.

I’m also order number 139xxx and have not received mine either. I think you nailed it in your post. It would not be so bad if PG would just be up front and also provide customer updates if requested and not just send out a meaningless boiler plate response. It’s been so long a wait I guess they got me now.
-
Yeah, I'd be ticked too! Please cancel your orders and that way I might get mine faster. :)

Hello all,
I received my spark today, I ordered it March 29 and my order number was 166xxx.
I live in Alberta Canada if that makes a difference. -
@rudy_k Thanks for the disappointing update. We appreciate it.
I feel that the factors are:
- Their logistical shipping is mostly about them leaving the factory in the right order, rather than accounting for where they actually arrive in a timely manner.
- I doubt that each item container-shipped to a destination country is pre-labeled for local distribution. Whatever company they are outsourcing local distribution to is likely working from a manifest and they are shipping things out based on their cost factors and not our order # priority. For example, when they hit the east coast of America, it might actually be in Canada. Then the local distribution company routes the items based on an affinity group of clustered addresses because that is cheaper in bulk than shipping them to a bunch of random addresses in the proper first-come-first-serve order.
- they don't have all of the units shipped. For example, I imagine we got the initial travel information shared with us six weeks ago when our order number was shared with the group that would be locally distributing them. But based on bulk shipping and routing, they likely didn't receive enough units to fulfill all of those orders. So they are working through that manifest as cost-effectively to them as they can and at some point they will receive enough units that your efficiently bulk local delivery grouping will get fulfilled.
That's logistics for you.

I contemplated writing that post because I knew others would be disappointed/angry and rightfully so.
I received a phone call from fed ex yesterday afternoon saying they had a shipment for me that I owed $28 bucks duty for. Then later in the evening I got an email from pg telling me it had shipped.
My spark arrived at around 2pm today.
Either fed ex is really fast or PG was late updating my status change.
