      Hi All -

I have been demoing many guitar sim programs and have recently purchased Bias 2 Pro. I notice that there is background noise (more pronounced with single coil and heavy distortion tones, but still present with clean tones). The noise seems to dissipate or even go away when I touch any metal parts of the guitar, cable, or even the audio interface. Has anyone had this experience before and do you have any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated!

      Thank you!

Some level of noise would be normal... have you tried using the noise gate pedal?

@redspecial62 I have played around with the noise gate. However, is it necessary to use it keep noise down even on clean tones? I expect some level of noise on heavily distorted tones, but surprised that I would need it on cleans.

@lendias I just sent an email to PG, let's see what they say. Somebody suggest to try and change guitar cable, one of the users solved his buzzing issue by changing cable....

you may have a bad connection on guitar jack socket.had this problem before.
change leads if it persists it could be socket.lose wire maybe.

@de_cunny So I’m currently running Bias via a Lenovo laptop. Is the solution to simply purchase a grounded power cable? Also how do I know if a power cable is grounded?

Hi All - If any of you are using Bias with a laptop, I highly recommend making sure that you are using a 3 prong power adapter. All noise issues have been resolved with this fix. Thanks to all...
