I believe I am running the latest version of the Spark app available on the the Play store (v1.4.1.1506). I am also running stock vanilla Android 10 on my phone. When i click the "connect hardware" button upon launching the app I receive an error stating "the location permission is required to scan Bluetooth device". And it will refuse to connect unless i give the app permission to use my location. Why does Positive Grid need my GPS coordinates in order to pair this device?!
I've paired my phone to several other audio devices and have never seen anything like this. For example Spotify doesn't need this permission to send audio out. Is there a technical issue Im overlooking? I am pretty security conscious and dont like to send out my coordinates to any company that wants it. Anyone else seeing this? Unless there is a well documented reason why it has to have a GPS lock (which i cant fathom), i refuse to give it permission. If PG stated up front you have to allow us to track you wherever you play guitar I would not have signed up for this....
