So - would a 19.5 volt rechargeable battery suffice to turn the Spark truly mobile? Imagine being able to play your guitar anywhere. Any of you people on here have the expertise to advise on how a guy turns his Spark mobile?

      TIA!

          yes like the Katana Air,
when I eventually get mine, which I ordered 3 November 2019,it's going straight on ebay, and I'm getting the katana air.

@crystalpit Has yours shipped? If you plan to sell it immediately, why not cancel the order, get the money back, and get the other amp now? If it is because you expect to profit on the sale of the Spark, after fees/shipping I would think anything over your purchase price would be very minimal at best.

Side note: Look at the Yamaha THR series as well.

@crystalpit The Katana Air is $560. More than twice what i paid for the Spark. And feature for feature, it appears to be a lesser product. You’ll thank me of you just wait for the Spark, I bet.

I'm sure there's plenty people out there willing to pay me $560 for a spark if they receive it in 3 days...
Actually, I bet I won't even have to post it, I'm in a popular metro area.
I bought it out of interest, I've got plenty of amps to plug in, and even more mfx and pedals.
I wouldn't have minded waiting 3mths for it, but this bullshit?
nah, I've got no time for companies like this... it's going straight on gumtree...

@crystalpit No offense, but I believe you are significantly overestimating the "flip" value.

that's interesting, can you tell us how long it lasts on a full charge?

I didn't try more than an hour.

                        powerbank 45000mAh / Spark's power consumption 40W.
I don't know how to calculate it.... lol

@rgilgan I am thinking about getting one of these to try - Aiper Portable 45000mAh Battery Backup - according to one of the comments, it sounds like it may run 40w for around 4 hours.

EDIT - I actually went with one of these to try - Rockpals 250W Portable Power Station

@rgilgan And My PG Spark will leave the Katana Air in the dust ;)

This Spark amp is LOUDER than Mustang GT 40, Vox ADIO GT, Yamaha THR-10 , and MUCH Louder than Katana Air

I have to say Spark was worth the wait ( Ordered Nov 30, 2019, just arrived a few days ago) - and very happy

12 volt battery and an inverter. Good to go. Plug mine in while I am driving my semi truck. Great for practicing on the road.

@gchaps1 Spark's output is 40W. No amplifier is 100% efficient so you need more than 40W of input power to run it.

                                      Watts is Volts x Amps.

Looking at the supplied PSU you need 19V at 2.5A from your power supply. That's 47.5 W which is not too bad (actually, amazingly efficient).

If your power bank has 45Ah (which is what 45,000 mAh means) you should be able to run it for 8 hours BUT the power bank is unlikely to be at 19V. More likely either 12V or 5V depending on its output. Both are low for the amplifier.

@andy-mcmullin Thank you for explaining that. A buddy has just hired on with a local battery shop. Curious to see what he can find.

If I understand correctly, trying to run a device needing 19 v with 12 or even less, will likely damage the device.

@andy-mcmullin you really have to look for an information that your powerbank has PD (Power delivery) AND 19 Volts. That 19-V-thing is designated for notebooks with USB-C and, thus, is kind of rare. I had several big powerbanks on my testbench in my office and only a few of them say that they supply 19 Volts. So be careful buying a big powerbrick with 19 V. It works but don't expect a lengthy session oh several hours.

@brandon That one says the output is only 12v max. Have you used it with your Spark amp yet?
