Can't get Jamup to playback loop

I can see the rec button turns red, I see status bar moving with record, not nothing when I press play, I know I must be doing something wrong. using headphones and Irig

It records and plays back with the 8-track, just not in the sampler

What device are you using? I cannot get the looper to work on my iPhone, but it works on my iPad. Same interface, same guitar, etc., so I know I am doing it properly.
