will the IAA iBuzz bug be with Mobile FX 2?
-
I am hoping that the hints of possible AU implementation for the mobile release of FX 2 will get past this age old bug - that is both in Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 1 currently - the following video (shortened to ease the pain) clearly demonstrates this IAA Buzzsaw bug in both apps that has never been dealt with or even claimed
This bug is a serious issue being ignored making the mobile platform incomplete in it's risk to use with IAA
It was not addressed in Bias Amp 2 and still not
No updates to fix it in Bias FX 1 mobile either as we prepare to unveil a different iteration of FX
Will this be fixed?

I’d like an answer to this too. It’s very annoying when you are half way through recording a track. I’m getting this with Cubasis 3 and 2.
If Positive Grid want us to upgrade to the new version then a fix for this is a must. Haven’t found any feedback from them on this yet though.

@softbass and there will not be any feedback on this issue from positive grid as they choose to totally ignore this issue for over a year and it is the same IAA issue with Bias Amp 2 Mobile which gives me no hope that this will ever be fixed - if this issue persists in BFX2 Mobile then I am done with this company. There is too much greed and focus on Marketing and it is beyond getting OLD. Continuing to ignore so many people that have brought this issue up goes right along with not listening to what the community was asking for in a lot of areas...

Yep,
I registered on the forum just to tell you you’re not alone. I have had an ongoing support ticket with PG… Getting nowhere. Basically they can’t replicate it so it’s not their problem. Wrong! There have been no changes on my end, but after a PG update (not sure which one) any preset with IAA Is exactly as you described.
The squealing you’ve described also happens every time I’m trying to record in Cubasis and also happens with BIAS AMP 2.
Positive grid has created some very interesting products, and I own most of them… But their support system is among the worst. Ultimately that will likely bite them on the way out the door.Good luck
NOTE: That reply above was from a post over a year ago
I am actually beginning to think this issue may have been introduced with Bias Amp 2 Mobile. Looking back the timeline is about right with the IAA buzz complaints coming just after the release BA2 Mobile and the Updated release of the Multi Device BFX1 Mobile shortly after that (I remember that people were pissed about having to buy BA2 on the iPhone after buying it on iPad - soon after came the updated BFX1 that was on iPhone without purchase) In any case it is still here and absolutely nothing done to take this seriously and fix it.
I bought in to the Mobile platform for many reasons not the least of which is Mobile Recording with IAA and at first the IAA buzz bug did not appear and by the time it did it was too late to get a refund so the only hope was for Positive Grid to fix their software - ?....

@tafkad here are some of the older topics addressing this with no Replies from pGrid on any of this and they remain silent on this issue to this day continuing to sell 2 mobile apps that are broken with IAA buzz bug:

This made me very curious and decided to pull out the old iPad 3rd gen 30-pin and Griffin Dock and see if this may be the case. In doing so it brought back some memories on all of this.
No it does not lock up with the BUZZ sound on the older app versions - So somewhere along the line after those versions came this so called "elusive" bug that can't be found by the development team yet is so easy for so many of us to recreate time and again.
-
@tafkad I heard the buzz 🐝 is that a amp or a car 🚘 beep beep. Did you fix it yet ???
-
Why would PG fix anything? That's not what Poositive Grid is about :) Skip FX2 on iOS and spend your money on some Nembrini amp sim apps (they're AUv3 even!) They work properly in a host, sound GREAT, actually have customer support. Blend those with some 3rd party FX apps (with proper MIDI implementation...) and you'll be wondering why you ever thought about PG.

Decided to bite the bullet and paid again for the Ultimate pack for FX2. So far I’ve not had the buzz/crash so it may be fixed in FX2 . Just as well as I was finding FX1 pretty unusable with this bug. Early days but FX2 seems much more stable when using it with Cubasis 3.
I don’t like the marketing strategy though, it’s not fair to those who have recently purchased FX1 Ultimate. Steinberg did a similar thing when they brought out Cubasis 3 by not reducing the price for those who had already bought Cubasis 2. Some long standing Cubasis 2 bugs also seemed to have been magically fixed in Cubasis 3.
At the end of the day, developers need to be paid for their efforts but it’s an own goal when it’s at the expense of losing loyal customers.

- Well taf my old friend looks like we're not out of the woods yet with this issue - but - not solved - sigh
just an early exploration report
I want to say I have hope this won't stop people from using it, as all other bugs aside even if you just use it stand alone this "early prerelease public beta" they did not have to release in what I would describe as "our time of need" for things to do at home is welcome news - it is far from complete people so keep that in mind before slamming it down. I will be posting some praises too, much looks better and it still is fun to use.
- Gotta be a top best free app (don't have to buy in) when you look at it from that point of view - cheers
