BIAS FX 2 "This preset requires BIAS AMP 2"

@v00doocat so it is okay for anyone to say whatever neg crap they want to a mod who can not reply with any feelings and spawn more toxic vibe like all the other toxic selfish consumer bs lately but you think it is not okay to respond to such a blatantly ridiculous and needless negative question about updates that should be common sense knowledge ?
Now as for the term "fanboy" used by the trollsnake variety spewing actual negative nonsense endlessly (otherwise know as buyers remorse) in response to your question you should note that :
- SPARK is NOT what we asked for or wanted and is a terrible idea all the way around why? look at the mess
"PG - hey guys what can we do with a soundcard a bluetooth speaker an iPad and some duct tape?"
everyone asked for BIASFX in a hardware unit in the form of A. midifootcontroler unit or B. Head/Rack unit
-
Hardware needs to replace things that need replacing not substitute one device for another that does the same crap and replaces nothing
-
recently I called them out again on NEVER fixing a huge bug on iPad BIASFX
-
I don't use the desktop stuff currently and not sure when I will but I hope for improvement and do NOT have buyers remorse in any way
-
I always say it is too expensive
-
Hate the TONECLOUD built in BS
there's more but no need since that is not important
Constantly complaining about ones own mistakes is open ground for replies and there you have it
If a person does not like this BIAS stuff then why would they be here? does that automatically = the ridiculously overused Crapple term of "fanboy" be applied to someone? Crapple sux but I'd never use windows (same thing as you can see - it's not like some difficult paradox)

@musical-alchemy then just stop updating and complaining - v2.1.10 was a hotfix BETA even stated so and was never available through the in-app update - YOU came here and grabbed it now pay attention, the new official v2.1.9 is being circulated, had people just waited before ever updating this would not be an issue and you should know better you've been around
Get your facts straight before you go off on your little hissy fit. I did not install v2.1.10 nor was my question disrespectful to the moderator.
I do though think we are do a proper explanation as to what happened, and exactly where we are at as to updates. I see nothing wrong with that. Do you ?That said, this is in no way a reflection on 'Mike' the moderator nor was it meant to be. Understandably he has a very hard job to do, and most if not all here respect that. No one here has shown him disrespect, nor should they.
had people just waited before ever updating this would not be an issue
You are seriously blaming the Users for installing the update that was provided to them by PG ? Your credibility or lack thereof is very much in question.

I think what @tafkad was pointing out was that 2.1.9.4865 (and the subsequent .4880, .4885 etc) was clearly posted as a Beta release that required a manual installation. It wasn't forced upon anyone, and being a Beta release means it's still a work in progress.
Users should know about the potential unstable and incomplete nature of Beta releases before going ahead and installing them over the top of their previously-working installations.
In short, the furor that ensued over some Beta releases wasn't warranted, and PG fixed the issues in the official 2.1.9.4900 release.

@musical-alchemy question it all you want it does not change the facts that are completely strait ("So now we're going from v2.1.10 back to v2.1.9 ?" - does not look like you excluded yourself as "we're")
"blaming the Users for installing the update" - apparently hardly anyone does actual risk management assessment so yes why install updates if you don't need to fix something? absolutely valid has nothing to with blame
and as for updates that do anything, good or bad, people read the EULA:
"This License applies to updates or supplements to the original Software, unless Positive Grid provides other terms along with the update or supplement."
which means they can take stuff out if they want, it also goes on to clearly state PG owns all rights to the software and I only own a license to use it, something totally lost on so many - I agreed to it by installing the software
if you are not a power user into bug and beta testing then updates do not matter, if you are into that then you know the risk - a hissy would be to come in and keep asking for an explanation to a policy clearly stated in the eula
