BIAS FX 2 "This preset requires BIAS AMP 2"
-
If they think that with this behaviour I will buy another of their software they are in the wrong way. Just restored to old version , glad to the guys that posted here. Till it works I use in this way , once it will not works anymore I will spend my money somewhere else. It's the first time that an update instead of add functionality , it take off. Compliments Positive Grid , good behaviour towards your customer.

Guys I think we should spam their Facebook, twitter and instagram accounts - we need to warn people about this shady company. Whatever they release it might be just a useless garbage once they decide to remove content from it like they just did for BIas FX2
-
@yuraj thanks dude, you're a life saver, the tonecloud presets are the reason i bought bias fx 2
-
if they don't roll this back, is there anyway to get a refund, cause seriously, i only got bias fx 2 for the tonecloud presets, the stock presets they provide sound like crap and i suck at making presets.
-
I wrote to their support and they ignore any email after replying the bs that they updated licensing.
I think they're just shady company wanting to get more $ for nothing. I guess this is illegal as customers were baited to pay without knowing that this might be coming. They always said that there is no real difference between AMP 2 and FX 2 so you can buy either and most of the stuff will be the same.
-
So far I'm a very satisfied customer of Bias FX 1&2 (paid for both versions!). I'm waiting for a fix, so I can keep using my presets without being forced to buy additional software I don't want/need. This is not acceptable.
-
Yeah, this is in no way shape or form okay. You can't sell someone something and then limit how they access that thing after the fact. This will be changed or litigation will likely happen against Positive Grid.
Looks like I'll be saving up for AxeFX or moving over to Helix. Bias just lost my support totally.
-
This has to just be a bug yeah? Well I hope so.. I have patches that I have made using a standard amp and it now says I need BIAS Amp 2 standard to use them. I would expect a fix to this pretty soon, but given this has just been on public beat I am a little concerned. I do like BIAS FX2 and I have a professional licence... but they do seem to be always on a "cash grab"..... please fix this PG or you will lose another customer for good!
-
This does look like a bug to me... patches that use regular BIAS FX 2 amps are no saying they require BIAS AMP 2".... so it's not just amps that are not included in your FX2 package. This looks like a lazy software release. Needs a statement or fix from PG pretty quickly.
-
@redspecial62 but in email answer they says that change license, don’t seems a bug....
-
@davidebaloo77 Well if that is the case, they are is selling the product now... if FX2 also now needs BIAS Amp 2 to use the tonecloud presets they market as being a benefit of FX2, then what is the point? I had presets that I made myself that would not open . The tonecloude functionality is dead it seems. I'm done with PG, I came to BIAS from an amplitube 4 licence... looks like I'm back to amplitube... maybe Joe Satriani and Brian May also made the right choice!!!
-
What an absolute joke...
I'm supposed to have the "Elite" version of BIAS FX 2 and now I can't use something that was working perfectly fine 15 minutes ago?
How do I request a refund?
-
I cant belive this BS..... The only reason i purchased the software was to use the tonecloud feature .....
They cant change something that was working for us on the last update. We need to spread the word ... we need our voices to be heard
Its pretty simple restore the funcionality of the software or give all of us who payed a full refund.
This plus the whole SPARK fiasco not a great way to show you customers how you care about them specially on this worlwide timeline.

@philminator Thank you for the v2.1.8 rollback file!! Without you, I would be stuck with a broken product. I'm hoping this was a mistake, rather than extortion from Positive Grid. Up to this point, I am such a happy user of Bias FX 2 and telling people nothing but good things. However, these types of shady (possibly illegal?) business practices can easily flip me into telling everyone the evil truth.
Again, thank you philminator!

@philminator
Hello, this is my problem. Yesterday, I saved and installed the 2.1.9 update on my PC. When I wanted to open it, my computer shut down. Since then, I may start over, do everything and even make a restore point on my pc, nothing works! It looks like my pc can no longer open Bias fx 2. I see the icon and click on it but nothing works. Even the link from the old version 2.1.8. does not work. It does not open. I am discouraged because I can no longer play the guitar. Can you tell me how to fix this serious error? Thanx. -
@jean_pierre_henriet Your best bet is to open a support ticket.
-
Thanx... its done!

You looking into it, as in you're going to see if this business decision is going to be reversed? Because it doesn't appear to be a bug from what some of the support staff have said.

Would like to know this as well
