Great!, just a quick note, I am using the Android version, I had to uninstall the previous version first in order to install this new version, I lost all my created/downloaded presets, it's not a big deal, I had just a few, but in the future it would be nice to have an export/import presets or a cloud connection like Gdrive, iCloud to store this presets when the app has to be uninstalled without the need of re-create the tones, or re-download them one you like from the tone cloud
-
I just got my Spark and it seems to need a firmware update. When I adjust the gain, volume either cuts in half or goes off completely. Can you help?

Sorry for the loss, we'll try to improve the FW update flow from here, thank you very much for your feedback.

Please send a support ticket to us https://help.positivegrid.com/hc/en-us/requests/new , thank you. -
I tried the beta now and the volume using the Spark as a direct audio interface is quite better and pretty good in clean sounds or fender amps but when u try to record sounds with more effects or compression the volume it’s still low in my opinion . The Pelxi , jtm45 when u push it the output sounds is still low
Thanks

Already tried, still not here.

I have a feeling this might not work because I am on OSX Catalina which doesn't support unsigned kernel extensions. I can tell my amp is detected because it shows up as an audio interface.
I was just using a game controller earlier today, and it showed different firmware versions in its app so you can downgrade if you want. That might be a nice option to have. I think I'm going to just wait because I don't want to be stuck on a version that only works with a beta app.

For all Android users who installed Firmware v1.0.2.253 Beta:
If you would like to upgrade your Spark Android app to v1.3.0,
You will have to revert back to firmware v0.1.2.197, you can download the v0.1.2.197 updater here -
According to my system the Spark App (Android) updated 10 APR 20 to Version 1.3.1.1460.
Does this require a roll back to the cited firmware version in our post? I am running the current .253 Beta at this time.

I got a new iPad Pro 2020.
I have been testing with iPad Pro from last week.[Impression with iPad Pro]
-
Bluetooth connection
iPad Pro Bluetooth connection is better than iMac.
Because when iMac in sleep mode, Bluetooth connection was missing.
But iPad Pro doesn't loose Bluetooth connection when I turned of screen.
: ) -
Volume Control (Just share information)
iMac has two control, macOS volume and iTunes.
But iPadOS and iOS only has OS volume.
macOS volume control is better than iPadOS and iOS.
This is limitation of iPadOS and iOS. -
Volume Level for Headphone output
Volume is too small to connect via Bluetooth with iPad.
I turned to almost MAX at Music Volume on Spark.
Speaker out works fine.
It seems balance between Speaker output and Headphone output.

@mike hi mike, when the final firmware version will be released?
-
This firmware update worked well for me, especially the USB output level fix. It's a shame the app needs updates to talk the updated amp though as I managed to get connected via iOS Testflight app but Firebase testing app on Android is very slow to download and never actually completes, so I could connect with iOS (seemed more reliable at connecting than before) but no longer connect with Android.
The obvious problem with having to match the app version to the firmware version is that unless the app can do the firmware update there's going to be pretty frequent firmware updating via computer required.
-
For anyone who has received their amp recently, I'm curious as to whether it shipped with the updated firmware. Thanks

Finally, got the Spark amp today. Having some issues with sound being delayed after I pluck the strings and sound cutting in and out. I adjusted the sound gate, but that didn't fix the issue I was having. I decided to update the firmware thinking that would help. Your instructions in the support section of your website references an update tool, but doesn't show where to find it. After searching for 30 minutes, I found this beta update. I downloaded the beta app on my iPad, but I can't connect to the amp via bluetooth because my amp's firmware is too old. The app offered me a link to download the update, which I did on my Mac. When I clicked on the updates (there were 2), I got a message that says, "Spark Firmware Updater can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software." "This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information." Any suggestions?

Hi @telestrats53 I have updated my spark using this link https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1sxcWeB64UoJU3BhqaR9GpMhMB0mx342y but didn't tried on Mac, In windows works
-
@dhgouveia2 thank you for the link, but that appears to be the same one I used for the Mac. I'll try the update using my Windows laptop, since it worked for you. Hopefully the update fixes the sound issue I'm having.
