Using Spark as an interface.......

Help.positivegrid.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002263432. That link will get you to how to update your firmware for the Spark Amp. Also the ASIO driver. You download the driver first. I then plugged in the USB & turned on the Spark Amp and it did an update. I then turned off the amp, unplugged the USB, downloaded the firmware then turned the amp back on and plugged in the cable and it updated to the new firmware edition. Also a good note. If you don't hear anything from your PC, or amp or headphones except your guitar make sure you turn up your Music Level. Tiny knob on your amp on the right. Drove me mad!

Yes, Spark can be used as an audio interface but it has some limitations if you compare it with a professional audio interface.

You can use your Spark Amp as recording interface via the USB digital output, but only at 48 Khz.
I've been recording my Spark40 via my Apogee Quartet by running the stereo headphone outputs into 2 of my Apogee line input channels and having great results doing it this way.

@cottero You would not use the USB output to do this.
You could run the stereo line outputs from the headphone outs, into 2 channels of your Focusrite Scarlett. I have been doing this with my Apogee Quartet and getting great results.

Why would you not use the USB output to do this? That's what it is there for. That's what the Spark User Manual, page 6, says to use it for: "Connect to a computer with the bundled USB cable, use “Spark USB Audio” as recording/playback
device."
Of course, one can do it your way. But why do you say not to do it the way the manual says to do it? -
Can’t comment on spark 40w but I have the spark mini.Quite a bit of latency on it perhaps it’s because trying to keep the sample rate up to keep the interference down.Positive Grid have not released a driver for it saying use the ASIO4 driver and keep the sample rate up,and yes I’ve turned the Bluetooth off.I don’t know much about electronics but with hindsight I suspect the the usb lead being used both as a transmitter of music and a charging lead for the amp, perhaps these two functions don’t mix together.
