Just cancelled my order

Just cancelled.
I ordered late January as a Power Supporter. In the meanwhile I ordered the THR 10 II. The THR 10 II - The app could be better but all in all it more than meets the need. I really think the Spark had potential but in the end it has to be product + support. I can't practice on a good idea. There is no excuse for the lack of community engagement. If Yamaha is smart they will take design queues from PG - especially the app. It's obvious that their market could have been 20K larger. Wanted to like the Vox Adio air but it's one of the ugliest products I've ever seen. Oh well - C'est la vie! Good luck folks! -
@slhin69 I was looking the Vox Adio Air GT, besides the ugliness, which I can live with, any cons you could mention?
-
@slhin69 Also, why the II over the say, x or c?
-
@mapmonkey I've not tried It out in person but have heard good review on the sound...just can't get over the handbag look...
-
@mapmonkey The THR 10 II has effectively combined the features of the previous offerings into one. It now offers 15 guitar amp models (categorized as Classic, boutique and Modern). Each category also has bass amp models, 3 mic models for acoustic-electrics, and flat voicings for everything else. So far so good.

I wish some people in front of me would cancel, not behind me.
-
Ordered the thing on Nov 4, order #3060 ... cancelled today. What a rip-off. Good luck folks, this should move you another shipment closer, maybe by the summer solstice!
-
This thread reminds me of the Deep Purple song PLACE IN LINE. LOL
-
I placed a preorder in late October #1497 and just cancelled it.
I understand that there might be production delays- but it is not unreasonable to ask for a delivery date and get a sensible answer (not “maybe March, maybe April”)
I think it is also dishonest to be still advertising with a delivery date of March-April, when orders from 4 months ago have not been fulfilled.
-
With all the mass confusion over accurate shipping times, I still ordered the Spark on Jan 15th. The same day i ordered a Yamaha THR-10 II wireless from a major music retailer (Who didn't charge my account until the item shipped). I cancelled my Spark order today after receiving E-Mail notification that the Yamaha THR-10 II Had indeed shipped with a tracking #. To those who are still waiting, good luck to all of you and hope your patient, it looks like a LONG wait. Combine the lack of any recent online reviews in the last month or more (Likely due to buyers not receiving their orders), the lack of communication updates on PG's part, a less than fully functioning App for the Spark amp and the likely production slowdown and part sourcing due to the Corona virus debacle in China, it will probably push delivery dates and full functionality of the amp out even further than they are now.

Well guys - ya'll scared me off with the facts. I ordered mine in Feb. Felt pretty good about shipping estimate of March 2020. Last week, I saw that they moved it up to Mar-Apr 2020 so I started watching the forum. I am just not the guy to be comfortable in a situation like this - I watch too much Shark Tank. I will definitely be a buyer when they hit the stores but not willing to let anyone use my money to "test entrepreneurial spirit". To give credit where credit is due though - I cancelled my order on Friday last week, got a response on Sunday, and my credit card showed the refund today.

I ordered one in november and returned it. Waaaaaay over priced and zero low end.

@diegofiorillo-uk But the Yamaha was available for purchase ($299.00 is way over priced?) I'll wait it out for who knows how long until all the logistics and software bugs are worked out of the Spark, then find one slightly used for the same "Pre sale" price on Reverb. Meanwhile, my new Yamaha THR-10 II is currently sitting in the bedroom on a solid wood table with no issues concerning "Zero Bass".

The thr is not worth more than 200 tops in my opinion. Zero low end, weak distortion, garbage editing program, ....didn’t even include a usb cable for that price. Very over rated in my opinion. Glad you like it though. It’s just my opinion.
Some of the Best cleans and hall reverb I have heard though.

Can’t disagree with you more Diego. I have had my 1st gen THR-10 for a few years now and it’s an excellent and versatile kit. The key to getting better base response is to ensure that it is at ear level, just like studio monitors need to be placed. It also comes with a free Cubase Ai, which is an excellent DAW for non pro musicians. The audio interface is also excellent in that it has very low latency and simultaneously sends a simultaneous stereo DI signal to the DAW. It is not a thin and brittle DI Tone that many lower price Audio interfaces are known for. I can also use battery power to boot which I enjoy using from time to time.In addition, I own a Yamaha outboard motor, an ATV, home theatre equipment because Yamaha in general makes quality products that are known for there strong value.
