FX2 - Scene Feature Broken, I can't be the only one?
-
I've been playing with FX2 Elite standalone on Windows10 for the past couple of weeks and have had an absolute nightmare trying to use the scene feature. Short list of problems found when editing, switching, or returning to scenes:
-
Upon editing a scene there is a high chance my settings don't stick. Even if I save/overwrite the entire Preset, this makes no difference. The manual states that Scene's save their changes automatically (odd UI decision, but cool), however this clearly doesn't work.
-
Upon switching scenes, there is a good chance that at least one of the pedals will decide to be non-functional (either stuck activate or de-activated).
-
Similar to #2, however sometimes I get into a state where changing settings on a pedal within a scene just has zero change to what I hear.
-
Upon switching scenes, there is a low chance that my entire signal will just be broken. I.e. I'll switch to what should be a high-gain scene and I will hear a weird sputtery mess of a signal.
I could probably go on, but I think the point is there. Scenes have one job (remember settings and load them) and the feature fundamentally does not achieve this. Anyone else a bit frustrated with this feature? I

I definitely hear you. Scenes can be very frustrating.
A basic guideline that I've found to be the most successful:
- Make your host preset and Scene 1 identical. That way you can toggle the Scene function on without actually changing the sound from the host preset. Remember not to change anything on Scene 1 while it's active, such as any pedal activation/deactivation, parameter changes etc. Use the other Scenes for that.
