POWER SUPPORTERS please notify when you get shipping email



  • Can someone please recommend me a good set of studio reference monitors to hook my iPad to? Going to try another approach and if I succeed I will just cancel this pain in the ass amp.

    Budget is about 100 pounds. Thanks, appreciated.

  • At this stage I'm thinking the only thing that Positive Grid could do to appease people is offer everyone who has pre-purchased an option to have their money refunded in full PLUS a voucher to buy the Spark when it's actually available at the same price that they paid on the presale (including the free worldwide shipping). I'm off to my local music store now to look at alternatives.

    That is actually a pretty good idea. I would go for that.



  • Positive Grid should take stock what damage they are doing to their brand judging by the 1.6k views on this page alone, even if some of us do check this page for news a few times a week.



  • While I did not get any shipping information yet (ordered at the end of November) I contacted support.
    This was the reply I got:

    "We do not take delays lightly, and we know that you don't either. Based on the latest information from our production team, we will be shipping Power Supporter orders throughout March and April. All orders will ship based on when the order was placed"

    So it seems there is another push-back. A shipping in April means half a year after the order!
    But anyway. Next week is already March, so the longest of wait might be over.

    The positive news is that we get a BIAS FX2 Standard for free:
    "To thank you for your patience, we’d like to give you a code to access our award-winning BIAS FX 2 standard software for free - a $99 value."

    So if You don't own it and have not yet picked up Your free copy - do it now. It is not the Spark for sure. But it is something to play around in the meantime.



  • @av-konten It may be worth considering that redeeming the free software yet as it may lock you into your purchase of the Spark, I don't know that is the case but I wouldn't redeem yet if you want to consider the option to cancel down the road due to more delays.

    I'd have a look at the T&C's first just to make sure.



  • When did people receive the email update about the delay and free plugin? I haven't had any emails from them at all aside from my initial order confirmation last year in November.



  • @jelly-bean I got a follow up email with the code - which downloaded the demo version of the software!!!

    And I got the code, downloaded the software - and it's the demo version!

    **** UPDATE - I got an email with instructions to register the software - so at least I now have the full version!

  • @tab You are right. This was definitely a cash grab to fund their operation. I don't have a problem with that. The problem I have is after obtaining the funds they took their attention off their responsibility to actually deliver. To be selling 20,000 to 30,000 units but only having stock on hand to actually make a little over a thousand units was just poor leadership and management. And to be saying, "well, everyone has a problem with running short on needed parts" is just playing us stupid. They knew in October that they were not going to have the necessary components to meet the demand and apparently they did nothing about it. The shipments were to start in December. They didn't start until February and that was only a little over 1,000 units. That is almost 3 months to make that1,000 units. They only have another, probably by now, 25,000 to 30,000 units to make. Unless they come up with a miracle plan, it will take them 3 years to fill the orders they have now. I don't see anyway anyone buying a unit today will ever see their amp.

  • @mailmaxxx I agree - I certainly don't want the software; I used to have it and got rid of it due to limitations in the user interface (not scalable, no keyboard shortcuts) plus lack of automation capability when used as a VST within my DAW. I'm sure there are a load of people who don't want or need the software because they already have it, or have something similar. (It also p***es me off that they claim the software is a "$99 Value" when they're currently selling it for $59). I've asked them to consider giving me a Spark gig bag or a $50 discount instead. I'm not holding my breath on getting an answer, but if I do, I will post it here.



  • Power Supporter, I do not care how good a product is, if you cant get it, whats the point( Pappy Van Winkles). Ordered Oct 5th delivery expected Jan. NOT FEB, received an E-mail expect March or April 5 or 6 months WT_. I have received nothing but EXCESSES!!!!! & Free software that I already have, Patients are wearing veerryy thin!!!!!



  • @captainfruitbat can you post here if you hear anything back regarding that? The software is of absolutely no use to me either.

    Ok....completely missed that you said you would post. Ha. But yeah, would definitely appreciate hearing what they say.
