After the latest update of Bias FX2 I get a crackling/crispy sound on my guitar tracks when I open a project. If I open the plugin, the sound is good again. I have to open and close every Bias plugin on every track. I use a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 and I'm using Logic Pro X. I have not updated to the latest OS on my Mac.

Anyone else having the same problem?

@steinar I have the exact same problem on ProTools. I filed a support ticket (101826). Last I heard, the PG folks claimed they could not repro the failure. I gave them ProTools sessions that easily reproduced the problem for me, every time. They told me to try a beta version of Bias (v. 4815); I tried it, it didn't fix the problem. They haven't responded to my last update (with more PT session info) 5 days ago, on 11/26.

Wow, I thought I did something wrong or my older laptop with WIN7 was finally dying. I am using Cubase 9 and what is described above is exactly what I am dealing with. It's a crackling, almost warbling sound on EVERY project. I reopen every plugin. Some I even just delete and reapply. It's frustrating. I also just installed the latest update. Something is up.

Hi all, please try to uninstall/reinstall the build here to see if the issue is resolved

I've been having the same problem, and submitted a ticket. PG got back to me and asked me to try the following, which did eliminate the noise (but prevents you from using Guitar Match). So, hopefully they have an idea of how to fix this.

                Jim

                1. After opening the session and the BIAS FX 2 window (should sound normal by then), can you please turn on the Guitar Match and see if that alter the sound in anyway?

                2. Go to Documents/PositiveGrid/BIAS_FX2/ModulePresets folder, find the bias.guitarmodeling folder and move somewhere else for backup.

Relaunch your session and see if the issue persists.

@mike The uninstall/reinstall seems to work for me. No changing in the sounds now.

I also was getting a weird noise on a win machine . Changed my buffer length from 520 to 1024 and everything is peachy. Hope this helps.
