Impulses bias amp ipad ios?
-
Hi, Can I import external impulses, and open them with bias amp?
-
You can import custom amps from the desktop version that have user/custom IRs added to them into the mobile version but the mobile version cannot be used to add an impulse on its own. Ditto with amp matches.
-
there's a workaround though
you could bypass the cabinet on bias amp and then route your audio output to audiobus 2 app. In audiobus 2 you can run the app "rooms!" (which is an ir loader) as an effect and that's it!
On Bias fx it's a little easier:
export from bias amp to bias fx a no cab head and then use in bias fx "rooms!" as audio interapp

Is this the one you are talking about? https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/room-impulse-response/id805907763?mt=8

This one:
Rooms! - Audio Recorder by Markus Sigg

Trying it now...I have no idea how to get impulse files into it with iCloud, trying iTunes file transfer now
-
Man, iOS makes everything such an amazing pain :(
Trying to follow these instructions...I've put my impulses onto iCloud drive, but Rooms doesnt see them, and I don't see how to get to iCloud on the iPad even though in settings it shows iCloud is working fine -
Ok, I finally got some impulses into the iPad, but I don't see how to load them into Rooms!, Rooms! seems to only allow their impulses, unless I'm reading the manual wrong

I prefer fiddlicator as an IR app on iOS. Also Altispace is quite good.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/altispace-convolution-reverb/id870386229?mt=8They both have a lot of control.
-
Fiddlicator is too sketchy for me
-
I was able to get files into Rooms! but it is seruiously sketchy on the CPU and the latency is insane, couldn't find any combo of settings that would make it run ok, is there a trick to it?
-
this is what I'm talking about
You can download it for free, but for our purposes you'll have to buy the convolution reverb function for 5$ or so
the instructions on the site web are enough clear, anyway I recommend to follow this steps
1 - create a tracklist on Itunes (pc/mac) with your selected IR's
2 - Syncronize the tracklist on your Ipad
3 - open "Rooms!" and import the IR from itunes to the files folder
4 - move the IR's from the files folder to the convolution folder
5 - from there you can create some sub folders to organize your IR's
6 - when you open "Rooms!" as interapp select your IR's from the convolution folder an you're ready to goworks really well at least on my Ipad pro
-
I can't get it to stop dropping out and it has a lot of latency added to it, I tried some better trimmed IR's but it was still late
-
@pipelineaudio I use ownhammer's ir's 16bit 44.1khz 500ms and works fine
-
the trick is how do you do any switching when playing live?
fiddlicator is the only IR loader with any kind of preset recall as far as i can see -
if you load bias amps into anything except jamup or bias fx you cant do any switching of amp models at all.

Would be cool being able to switch the third part IR loader accordingly with the preset...but it would be cooler and easier have a proprietary ir loader on iOS bias amp/fx ...I hope they'll do it soon -
Should be making bias fx for iPhone.
