Bias Fx Desktop in a live setting
-
Hi,
as mentioned above, I want to use my Bias fx live. It's not a problem, when there's a PA in which I can plug it in. But what if there's just a 4x12? Working through the Bias Head doesn't work, does it? What are my options? Any suggestions?
Cheers

@maître-du-kerker It works great through my power amp and 2x12. Millions of power amps out there. If you need something really portable you could look at one of the pedal format amps like the EHX 44 Magnum or Mooer Baby Bomb.

@maître-du-kerker : make sure you set the cab section to bypass.

@elric What do you use, personally? I was thinking of a rack flight case, with integrated power supply, audio interface, and power amp...
I was asking the same question in a different forum, and they said it is not at all practical. Something about the signal the laptop sends, being different to the signal the power amp needs (hifi vs. midrange frequencies). Do you have good experiences with your mentioned set up?
Cheers,

@maître-du-kerker : line level is line level. Paste what they said.

I'd definitely be using an interface with low enough latency to handle this live. Tons of cheap USB ones out there that will also provide the proper levels (there's usually two levels referred to as "line" depending on what context. Instrument people usually mean -10dBV, studio guys are likely referring to +4 dBu)
