      Hey all!

This is not an end of the world problem as I'm clearly doing something wrong. I apologize if this is the wrong sub forum to ask this also. Did a search through and didn't find anything similar.

So I just bought my iMac, Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Gen, Beyerdynamic DT headphones (250ohm) and have been experimenting for the past 2 days. The problem I'm encountering is that any distorted tone sounds terrible. Extremely thin, shallow if you will. I can hear the clean tone underneath it actually if that makes sense. I thought it was possibly my headphones but confirmed that the Solo can handle up to 250ohm albeit I'm pushing the envelope. I honestly don't know what I'm missing or doing wrong. I have friends that swear by BIAS AMP and I want to be a believer also as I was spurred by many professional musicians also to use it. Any advice would be great or troubleshooting tips.

Everyone demoing it online creates these monster tones and its the complete opposite of what I'm getting. I did fine tuning relentlessly still to no avail. Again, I'm probably missing something obvious but figured I'd ask somewhere that surely has an answer.

      Thanks so much!
