Basically any MIDI pedal that sends MIDI CC/PC should work with BIAS FX, such as FCB1010, Tech 21's and BOSS.

The IK Blueboard is wireless and works with Bias, no problems. It takes just a little fiddling but MacOS supports MIDI over bluetooth like the iOS devices.

I can't get my Blueboard to connect to BIAS FX Desktop but it works seamlessly with iPad and iPhone JAMUP Pro. I assumed it was a Blueboard issue as opposed to BIAS FX.

@dangerousdave750 It's almost certainly a config issue. You absolutely have to have the IK Mac app running in the background for it to work for starters. the Blueboard also must have the latest firmware. IK issued a FW update for the Blueboard to support use with the Mac when the OS was updated to support Bluetooth MIDI LE so it is definitely a supported use of the device. You may want to contact them if you are having issues with the Blueboard and the Mac.

From Bias' perspective it is like any other MIDI input.

@elric Still no joy. I've contacted ikmultimeida for support too. Basically the bluebird connects to my iMac and MacBook no problem, but won't operate and midi functions in BIAS FX (but still works a treat on iPad and iPhone. I'm stumped.

@dangerousdave750 Are you running the IK mac app in the background? It won't work even if you connect via the system audio midi devices. It has to show as connected in both places.

@elric Yeh i'm running it through the IK App in the background. It is also connected via the iMac bluetooth though, so I am really scratching my head. I will have to contact Positive Grid I think, they were hugely helpful with my last request.

I haven't tested this as I don't own a BT4 but if it's connected to an iDevice, and the iDevice is either plugged into your MBP or connected over BT with your MBP the BT4 MIDI should make it to the MBP...it's a long and slightly ridiculous workaround but I think it would probably work. Anybody tried this?
