I've been playing with BIAS FX 1 for a few months now. I like the sounds of the amps and effects.

I'm noticing that I'm getting excessive amounts of harmonics. Harsh, metallic harmonics. All across the guitar. It's like I'm always one quarter of the way to a pinch harmonic, when playing and when palm muting. It's... unpleasant.

I've tried different guitars and it happens to all of them. My interface is a Focusrite Scarlett Solo. The harmonics happen in all pickup positions.

I've tried to equalize them out but haven't had any luck there. I've also tried putting a direct input box in front of the interface.

Anyone else have this issue or have any ideas of what I could try?

There is some aliasing in Bias, if thats whats bugging you, there MIGHT be some ways around it, but it would be tricky.

Maybe the input gain of your interface is too high. The first time I used BFX I had that and thought it was the program.

@pipelineaudio Thanks. I took the easy first step of increasing the sample rate to 96K but that didn't help. I'm going to guess that it isn't an aliasing issue. At least for now. Appreciate the idea though.

@korkenknopfus Thanks for the suggestion. My input levels seem fine.

You can hear the aliasing in double stop bends

                Youtube Video

But there's other "hard" or harsh sounding things about bias' sound, but actually thats what I love about it!
