BIAS Distortion Pro & BIAS Pedal - problems

  • Hiya!

Just got my BIAS Distortion Pro but I can't get it to work with the software (BIAS Pedal). First of all, when I connect the USB cabel to the unit Windows throws an error that it doesn't recognize the unit and in the unit manager its listed as an unknown unit. And this might be the source of my problem in the BIAS Peda app - what ever I do there is not reflected in the pedal. Seems some changed I made in the app has 'connected' to the unit as a lead started blinking, but soundwise nothing.

Any tips on how to get this going? Still have the time to return it to the store if I cant fix it somehow...

  • When the unit is connected I’ve never been able to hear it either. I have to dial in the pedal I want, then connect the unit, then load the pedal I want onto the unit. It’s not real convenient but I guess it works. I really wish there was a way to craft the sound I want while I’m plugged into the front of the amp I intend to use the pedal with. I think PG have bigger fish to fry so an improvement to how the pedal works is on the back burner, if we’re lucky.

Allright, thanks for your reply... that is not the best way I could imagine it being done but I do really appreciate you reply. Real-time would be something I almost would expect but OK, if that's what it is then so be it.

  • @thadengle Uhm OK, so I had a second thought after thinking about your reply... how about all those extra parameters that is only available in the software...? You have double EQ's and load of stuff to change within the pedal that you can only change in the app. If that isn't done in real time... well then it truly sucks.

  • It certainly is less than ideal. As far as I can tell though, the only thing you can do in real time is what’s assigned to the knobs on the unit. Having said that, the concept of this pedal is really great even though it has a few issues.
