FX II Bug squishing "here"
-
When using multiple "snaps", saving the preset doesn't always stick. i find that i have to change the settings and do it several times until i have a true save.
-
@mpincosy You have to hold the snap slot button to save, have you tried that ? thanks
-
@mike Yes I have. Only seems to be an issue with multiple snaps. The other issue concerning them as i found out this morning, after shutting down Bias FX II last night was: I launched Bias FXII, loaded my preset, and it only has one "snap", the last one i used. All the others are gone. I did multiple saves of the preset at various points of development. 3 out 4 of my Snaps are gone! I spent a lot of time on them, but this is after all bug squishing time.
-
@mike I also tried downloading my preset saved in the tone cloud, and only have one snap available. My preset is called "PinCo Mesa beta 4" if you want to check diagnostic code. Let me know what you think, about the issue. Thanks!
-
@mike sorry. i might add that I'm currently running in stand alone mode on a MacBook Pro i7 processor w OS Mohave 10.14.2
-
In tone cloud only a fraction of my uploaded presets are visible under my username but when I search for them many of them come up and do show me as the author. Some are gone altogether.
-
@mpincosy The snapshots feature was designed for quick audition in BIAS FX, the presets will be temporarily saved and cleared after closing BIAS FX.
-
Wait are you saying those amazing and wonderful scenes aren't an actual feature as part of the preset?
Or are you guys talking about the quick snap thing?
-
@pipelineaudio It's the quick snap, sorry for the confusion, I personanlly think that it's more reasonable to have quick snap settings saved after closing BIAS FX 2, so I'll definitely talk to our product team and see if they can review the feature here.
-
Awesome...I tell you, scenes are holy unbelievably amazing! I cant wait for midi to really try them out!
-
@mike Whats the solution for permanent snap/ or scene settings, so we can actually use Bias Fx II through an entire song, which requires changes? verse, hook, lead, clean etc etc.
-
@mike Yes, please. Especially since saving the preset doesn't save the snaps either
-
@mpincosy You can use Scenes of a preset to achieve this, just like a real world pedalboard
-
@mike Thank you. I'll do it that way, upload, test etc.
-
@mike Okay i reprogrammed my scenes, and was fine with save and recall, until the fourth scene.
The fourth scene contains different amps (clean). I saved the preset, then thought everything was fine.
I then tried going through my presets, and the only one that worked was the last (Clean amps). Is there a rule that you can't have different amps in a scene, or am i missing something? Starting from scratch again. I still think that quick snaps should stick in memory after shut down as well, since committing them to a scene later makes absolute perfect sense from an actual guitar players point of view. Anyway I'll stick to the scene issue for the moment
-
I wont be too terribly surprised if you cant unload and load amps in a scene, though that would be awesome. Priority to me is to have those scenes switch as fast as possible with the least amount of dropout and least possible glitches
-
@mpincosy The Scene feature is for toggling and adjusting the effect/amp parameters in the signal chain, but not for changing amps, hope this helps!
-
@pipelineaudio Exactly..... seamless changes. if you need a really clean sound, you really have to change amps, and presets, which means a big gap in sound. I'm hoping that effect tails carry over for preset changes, to lessen the drop out
-
@mike Yes. Thank you.
