      Hi everyone,

Using Bias FX/Bias Amp 2 along with Reaper, I recently uploaded a video series showing how to match the guitar tones of classic metal albums. To accurately demonstrate the tones, I layered four guitars on top of each other and didn't add any drums or background music. Both "Black Album" (Metallica) and "Far Beyond Driven" (Pantera) videos are more detailed walkthroughs.

      1. "Black Album" guitar tone - Metallica

      Youtube Video

      1. "Master of Puppets" guitar tone - Metallica

      Youtube Video

      1. "Far Beyond Driven" guitar tone - Pantera

      Youtube Video

      1. "Vulgar Display of Power" guitar tone - Pantera

      Youtube Video

      1. "Powerslave" guitar tone - Iron Maiden

      Youtube Video

      1. "South of Heaven" guitar tone - Slayer

      Youtube Video

      Any feedback is appreciated!

@elias-sofronas My setup is very basic - I just use M-Audio monitors with a Mac (Yosemite OS). Audio interface is the UX-1 (Line 6). At least for home use, just to play guitar as a hobby, the sound quality is so good that I no longer use a physical head/cab.

It was very well done. And many thanks for sharing it for others, too.

Regarding panning: are guitars 1 and 3 hard panned to the left and 2 and 4 hard to the right, or are some of them in between?

@korkenknopfus You're welcome. Thanks for the positive feedback. Yes, guitars 1 and 3 all the way to the left, and 2 and 4 all the way to the right.

                OK, thank you very much!
I am not a metal guy, but I liked the tones you achieved and they can be used in other contexts too, so I will search for them.
