Automaticaly turn on-off the wah by Behringer FCB1010...how to program?

Re: Parking wah
Hi.
I have FCB1010 and I cant find out, how to program controller to turn on/off wah automaticaly when I touch and move pedal (for example when pedal is on 0 or 127 position) Now I have to turn on or off manually in PC and I can't turn wah on or off by the pedal. When I go to the Assign Midi control Change in Bias I can set:
Toggle CC number
Wah CC number
When I assign number to expression pedal to the toggle the same as wah, its not working because it seems to turns on-off still when i move the pedal and the signal goes bad. When I tried to set number 0 or 127 it is not turning on or off at all.
Do you know how could i fix it? Thanks for help. -

And a lot more about that on that site...Short answer, if you are using VST you can use one of the plugins that can do it for you, but we're hoping like crazy that PG will just add it natively
-
Thanks...So now I see that in PG its not possible to make it...Which plugin vst can do it?
-
I made one and sent it to PG so they could use it...I wasn't going to release it myself unless and until it looks like they won't use it. Michael Schnell made a JS one, which I think you can load into other DAWs using ReaJS.
Here's a video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tok77JAvUDU
The discussion around it https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=202857
Its free on ReaPack package manager....I'll ask if I can post it here directly, but you can just grab it off Reapack now
-
Thank you very much, I would like to try it...but I used Bias FX with midi controller in standalone version only, now I can't find the way how to control as VST in Sonar (Cakewalk by Bandlab) at all...
-
You can use ReaJS in Sonar or Cakewalk or any other DAW that allows VSTs
-
@pipelineaudio I can control it only in standalone version, its not VST...I don't know how to use midi controller for bIAS FX in DAW (Sonar) at all...
-
SHould pretty much be as simple as arming a midi track and then sending it in parallel to the track that has Bias FX on it...I figure it works that way in any daw
-
@pipelineaudio I thought to do this way, but when i create the midi track there is not possible insert send from it to the audio track
-
I put a question on my FB page to sonar/cakewalk users to see if anyone knows
-
@pipelineaudio thanks
-
The Wah midi functionality in the standalone is pretty poor in my opinion. This is a good item for PG to work on.
-
@paul-jones32 You should set some another switch to turn on-off, but this is stupid...probably I would play with classic wah betveen guitar and interface, it sounds ok ...
-
That’s why I wired that new switch under one of the 1010’s expression pedals. Works great for that
-
@pipeline.... that is a slick solution. BUT... this is something that should be fixed via software as well... just seems like the wah midi functionality is an afterthought.
-
@pipelineaudio hey how is the preset switching in Biasfx on iOS lately? Pretty quick? I know there were some app updates
-
@pipelineaudio i have seen it, great solution

The amount of pain of what I feel are afterthoughts in this stuff in general has filled my website for the past two years :(

Pretty damn good honestly! Still a hard CLACK on some stuff, but I barely tested it after I was able to get tonestack's auto engage wah working with it

FWIW, Here is how I solved the fcb1010 wah "issue". I set preset 10 to CC 27 (it does not send any PC info), this toggles the wah (preset 10 is close to the wah pedal). The leftmost pedal controls the wah. My issue was combining the CC command to toggle the wah with a PC command to change presets.
I love (LOVE) the fcb1010, despite some less than intuitive solutions I need to come up with. .... :-)
