I bought and installed Bias FX Pro (AU/VST version) and it does not show up in Logic Pro, the .component and .vst files are in correct folders. What am I doing wrong or do I have to install the standalone version too and activate the software? Using latest MacOS Mojave and Logic (10.4.4).

Try rebooting. It's an old and sort of known problem with Logic and apparently still not completely fixed with Mojave.
        Alternatively, open Terminal and type:
        killall -9 AudioComponentRegistrar
Then press return. That will force the AU manager to look for new plugins on the next Logic start (and no, it won't rescan all the other plugins). Works fine for me.
