Cheap FRFR?
-
I've been trying some of the stuff lying around the school as a portable FRFR setup. Especially here in Hawaii, you really don't want a soundman trying to mic your guitar amp, they actually mic the floor, no joke, if you ever see pics of shows here. I figure something with an XLR repeater would be best, then you can hand the "soundguy" an XLR out that already has your cab sound on it.
I've tried a few full range bass amp combos that have tweeters on them, a Fender something 150 and a SWR Workingman 12, and a few powered PA speakers, what are you guys using?

I have a pair of Mackie Thump 12s that have XLR out. I haven't really used them, let alone pushed them, so I can't say about the quality. I recall the reviews said they're decent. Carvin eqivalent I think are a little cheaper.

I got an Alto TS210 on order, but Amazon kind of messed it up, should be here in a few weeks. I'm going to try the Yamaha DRX10 here as well in a few days
