I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still not working. I have a ticket in with PG but hoping that someone else has some feedback on if they’ve been able to do it or not

If I really trusted IAA, I could just use the auto engage in tonestack inside Bias FX, but how sad is that? Its 2018, time for auto engage

Hmm, I dont think you can send midi thru IAA anyway, so the auto engage wouldnt matter

I tried using aum to load rooms or Fiddlicator into the chain after Bias fx and it sounds good except there is cracklings and a ton of cpu spikes. I’m wondering if it is due to the fact that I am playing a di track as the input instead of playing a guitar and that di track playback is taking up too much cpu? I’m not sure

I got a response from PG that the engineers are looking into this and it’s a possible bug. Hopefully they’ll release an update to fix it soon

Why do you think Fiddlicator is a mess? It works just fine and consistently on both BIAS FX and Tonestack in both ipad and iphone.

I have seen many people have no issues with it. FOr me on iphone se, iphone mini 4 or air 2, it is glitchy, often won't remember what impulse it was on, and can get "sticky" on the controls

I do. I use the OH Diezel and Mesa 412 and sounds just great. Occasionally it might crash or opens with a shrieking noise but it s very rare. Almost every time I open the apps the IR is there working

@mehegama you’re doing this on iPad or iPhone?

@mehegama I had problems get the levels right on it. It always seemed to be lower volume than the pg cabs. If I did get it louder it looked like it was clipping

@brian-dress The app has a volume indicator on the top right so you can set the output there, Have tried it? I m using it mainly in my ipad but it works the same on the iphone too. I observe that it s louder than the stock cabs and I could not hear any clipping.

@mehegama ok I’ll have to try. The issue is getting it right with different amp models and fx chains. Do the levels get saved in the presets in Fiddlicator?

Thats the whole issue with IAA, some of the basic utility functions of a plugin are at least specified, but implementation is spotty at best, some of the basics aren't supported in the spec at all. Lets just get AU or VST or something sensible by now

So my steps are the following.
I go to fiddlicator and I play directly and adjust the vol of the IR (central red knob on ipad) until it does not clip and sounds nice and naturaland I save it. Now every time I then create a preset on Bias FX or Tonestack and add fiddlicator as an IAA. I save the presets and every time i reopen it in the future the preset works fine. Just try to save all your presets with the differnt amps takng account the output of the IR you use.
Ideally we need a NATIVE IR loader in iOS. that will eliminate all the potential issues uploading them as an IAA.
