Looks like it says arsenal in the top left which is the default first preset in Bias fx right? 6 days people!

If they can get auto engage and harmonizer going, I’m definitely revisiting the iOS thing

This might be worth wiring a toe switch into the expression pedal of the FCB1010 for a wah...I guess I need to see if momentary will work correctly (basic midi polatirty, range and latch controls are still a basic we need to see in Bias FX)

@pipelineaudio I’m trying to understand the issue with the auto engage function. Can you explain to me?

@pipelineaudio are you using iPad though. Or you just want a smaller footprint using iPhone?

On ipad and iphone, Tonestack lets you auto engage the wah....Moving it turns it on, bringing it back to below a certain threshold turns it back off.

I made a JUCE version (also VST) so that PG could add it to Bias FX, hopefully they will, or make their own

@pipelineaudio so you have to use a cc to turn it on and then a different cc to adjust the value in Bias?

@pipelineaudio is there a way that the behringer exp can have two cc assigned to it?

I think so, but BiasFX doesnt have scaling, so even that would be tricky. I drilled holes to put switches under there before, I cant remember if there was some trick to it, maybe I sent the switch to one of the existing pedals or if the FCB1010 had CC ins...I think it had CC controllable amp switches or something

@pipelineaudio that would probably be the easiest way. Wire a switch into an existing one and then it works like a regular wah

Easiest I think would be to just add my code to it....Or better yet just do it themselves...Its really not that bad, come on PG! In JUCE its only a few lines of code added to the basic platform code, and that's coming from someone who is EXTREMELY wary of how "just a few lines of code" can easily break an existing complex ecosystem, I did my best to make sure it had its own hooks and wouldn't wreck anything else as far as I could tell (law of unintended consequences and all that, yada yada)

@pipelineaudio yeah man far more advanced than me. I’m still trying to get my arduino midi board working right. As far as a work around while pg drags their feet...my thought would be coding in the controller. I know that I can code the arduino board to send out multiple cc’s with one switch so if you were to really edit the fcb you maybe be able to have it shoot out the activate cc and also the cc0-127 for the sweep

So I'm sitting here looking at my modded FCB1010 deciding if I want to solder in a switch under the expression pedal, in preparation for the iPhone launch, thereby giving up one of my CC pedals, only because so far it appears PG has not added auto engage for the FX...This is a rather silly, Luddite workaround, but I love Bias FX enough that I just may have to do it...PLEASE say it isn't so PG!!!

@pipelineaudio can you explain exactly how the wah is activated as I can’t try myself since I don’t have it yet

Well, it uses toggle instead of a direct on and direct off, which can potentially be a HUGE problem in itself, but you can assign one cc for toggle and the other for wah position

In case PG drops the ball, I’m getting this pedalboard ready, caveman style

But lets hope they dont drop the ball, and that auto engage is here, along with the other sticking points :)

@pipelineaudio for some reason I’m not very optimistic about that lol
