Hi, I am new to Bias FX and am wondering what the functionality is for the splitter. I did a quick search here but didn't find anything that references it. How do you use the 3 versions of the splitter? Signal makes sense and behaves as I would expect. But the other two don't appear to work as I would expect. I was expecting the frequency to split to one channel above and one below, and the level to also split above and below, but I can't tell that it is doing anything. Am I missing something?

Documentation is a bit lacking. Not sure how the others work, but I use it as an instant switcher from clean to distortion. I should look into the frequency one for mixing bass guitar....Send the highs to distortion

It is so like you say. If you set it up to level, for example, that would allow you to have channel A clean and channel B overdriven. So your sound could be overdriven only when you play hard on the strings. Or other creative possibilities, for example to have a delay only when you playing volume is high.

@korkenknopfus Thanks for the info. I have done a little more playing around and I can now see that it is working as described. I had to turn down the volume of one channel to be able to verify. Now I know what to expect I will be able to make use of the feature.

I saw a video that said something different about the splitter. It described it as a preamp allowing you to adjust either tone or drive going into the amps. Now I am confused again.

Perhaps an official answer from PG? @Mike maybe?
