So I've downloaded Bias Amp 2 Standalone and messed around with it for 5 mins or so, quit the app, downloaded the plug-in version, and I've not been able to launch the software since. Any clues what I should do? I've already deleted all possible files, reinstalled several times, restarted my Mac, but none worked.

      I'm running on High Sierra.

There is a known incompatibility with OS-X High Sierra. Positive Grid has something in their FAQ about this but I would agree if someone would say, that there has to be some kind of warning within the installer or at least a readme file ;)

@andrew-ang I don’t have 2 but with 1 I had the same issues. I had to drag the files from documents to my desktop and it seems to work fine. Hope that helps.

I had the same problem and PG helpdesk gave me this solution. It worked for me:

              Please try these steps

              1. Uninstall your previous version:
If you’re on Windows 7, refer to this article https://support.microsoft.com/ml-in/help/2601726

                if you’re on Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, follow these steps: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/4028054/windows-repair-or-remove-programs-in-windows-10

if you’re on a Mac, simply locate the program on your Drive, drag it to Trash Can and done.

              2. Next, delete these files and folders
                [Mac]
                /Users/[User_name]/Documents/PositiveGrid/BIAS_Amp2 (folder)
                /Users/[User_name]/Library/Application Support/PositiveGrid/BIAS_Amp2.settings (file)

(Show/hide hidden files for Mac: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Rm04aziAbM)

If you're with OSX10.13, try deleting this file by using command:

              Mac ->BIAS_Amp2.settings
*Click on the 'Go' menu in Finder while holding down [Alt/Option] to access the'username/Library' folder

                  [Win]
                  C:\Users[User_name]\Documents\PositiveGrid\BIAS_AMP2 (folder)
                  C:\Users[User_name]\AppData\Roaming\PositiveGrid\BIAS_AMP2.settings file)

Now that the previous version and related files have been removed, you can proceed the installation again.

              That's it. Good luck.

@castaing-jorge said in Bias Amp 2 keeps crashing at launch:

                  Documents/PositiveGrid/BIAS_Amp2

Thanks! Please always backup the Documents/PositiveGrid/BIAS_Amp2 folder before deleting it

                    deleting just:
                    /Users/[User_name]/Library/Application Support/PositiveGrid/BIAS_Amp2.settings (file)
so far helped at my MBP 10.13
