No News is Good News. Great Job PG

Where is everyone? Probably home playing guitar. Now that the dust has settled on the Bias Amp 2 bug situation, I think it's time to ask for a floor unit again.
I am considering a Bias mini head with line 6 HX effects. Anyone out there doing this?

I'm working as hard as I can on it! If PG or anyone else doesn't bite, I'm assembling turnkey systems with various options using mostly off the shelf hardware (though with some kind of serious mods) and custom, yet human readable, software.
I could still use a LOT of ideas on the hardware side concerning portability, simplicity and reliability

@pipelineaudio How the heck do you have time to do all this?:astonished:

Go to the skatepark and crash a lot....Makes me pretty sedentary, so I'm not tempted to go do something else

Pretty good test of the mockup the other night

I've noticed the same, not many people posting recently. I've been enjoying B2 on my Bias head recently, the two rock and dumble patches are amazing.
As for running it with the HX Effects, I can't speak for that unit, but I do run a full pedal board in to the front of my Bias head and I've not noticed anything fishy going on so I'd say go for it
-
@liam I assume you have Bias FX in some for as well, right?
I'd like to know your opinion on the equivalent effects you have on your board...
Are they close enough to the real thing?
My thing is, I love bias fx effects but I worry that once I go to something like the L6 HX, Bias fx will not please my ears anymore.
...First world problems i guess
-
@alderre Sorry, I don't actually. I don't really use my computer for any of my guitar stuff, just the Bias head.
As for the effects and being close to the real thing, I went through a same thing with the Bias head and the emulated amps. In the end I realised that I haven't ever played the amps I'm downloading, so really it doesn't matter how close they are as long as they feel/sound good. I know lots of people use BIasFX everyday so I don't think I'd worry too much

It sure seems like I should be able to make something similar to this out of off the shelf parts, even cleaner than my pedaltrain style setup
-
@pipelineaudio : tasty. I might have use for that, if I get out and play.

The script is running pretty damn well! Now I gotta make it pretty....And then climb the impossible hill of making all the hardware nicely portable
